Think i may have accidentally found an upcoming feature.

Basically i was in a heroic while in que for another, went to zone out but the only teleport option was to teleport TO dungeon. So wondering what it would do i pressed it and thats where i found the bug. Luckly i happened to be recording when it happened so here it is.

Huh. How odd. I think it might be a bug but they've been hinting at this feature coming at some point. Wouldn't be surprised if it's part of the next Xpack.

i was lvl 90 but it put my ilvl down to 43 and i think this may be something we can force, my hunter friend teleported out of temple of the jade serpent and went into the main stratholme part to farm righteous orbs then i try teleporting out and thats how i ended up in there i think

That's awesome, i really hope that scaling will be like this, to make old content fun for mains too =)
Also this will also mean i have to get my ashes and kharazan mount quickly before the next expansion or else i will never get it x)

When he teleported into Stratholme, via some unknown mechanic, his gear was all scaled down to item level 43 (appropriate for that dungeon).

No No No No No No No. Running old _INSTANCED_ content at old levels is fine, knock yourselves out, but the zone wide deleveling guild wars style is in my humble opinion utter crap. If i need to do daily's / farm something i want to pull 20 mobs and aoe them down not have to eat / drink after every pull..... but then again i'm prolly in the minority that thinks blizzard by their own hand has made "overworld" content redundant and boring so feel free to start flaming.

Love this, would give a lot more options if the gear scaled inversely once looted in this scenario but I guess that would be too much to ask

It seems after watching the video that something weird happened because his hunter friend in the group went to Stratholme, and when the DK went to teleport out he saw he could "telelport to dungeon" that took him to Stratholme and upon hitting some mobs he realized he was a lot weaker than he should be, you then see him inspecting all his gear, and its all "ilvl 43 (522)". The thing to take away from it is before now we've never seen a system in game scale us down for really low level content (not including challenge mode and proving grounds). But clearly there it is hidden in the game code.
