Void Storage is fail

I barely use my void storage. I have some xmog sets I use on different toons but it's not even half full. Crap like the stupid kegs and other quest rewards I sharded, vendored or typed delete when I had to. That is nonsense. If the achievement doesnt count it when it's in your bags then they need to fix the achievement.

I know, but what else can you do with VS? The only other thing would be to allow any item to go in, even stackables and unique items.

Now this is something that it could do, atleast with unique items, I don't see the point with not letting you store those

Their achievements to collect things say otherwise.

While I don't disagree with your points I should point out you don't need to horde those items, the achievement is to loot, not keep them. Some of those items are 'chests' as well such as the glowing ash so keeping them wouldn't even make sense.
