Trinket Question: PPoP Heroic Wf(580) vs. BotH Normal (530) - HALP

Hey guys and girls,

I have an issue and maybe someone can help me.
I want to figure out which trinket gives more throughput.

At the moment, I'm using Uvls Heroic (ilvl 543) and as second trinkets I have the choice between:

Prismatic Prison of Pride (ilvl 580) - I know the Int procc doesn't work for boomies

and

Breath of the Hydra (ilvl 530)


Simcraft says that BotH is like 7000 DPS stronger than PPoP but I'm not sure how reliable that is since PPoP increases CRIT DMG, Haste, Mastery and HIT.


Any thoughts?

Im confused as to why you'd think simcraft is unable to sim the hit and crit damage on the trinket. The crit-effect is identical to the metagem (for people without legendary meta), and it's not a secret how that works.

No idea what your character is, but lets ballpark it:

10289 haste, 18k+ crit, 5k+ mastery, 5100 spirit (assuming zero hit or expbonus)

Trinket gives 9%, so it's a benefit of 926+459+450 ~ 1800-2000 statpoints.

Even if none of those go to waste (through proper reforging etc) youre end up comparing, roughly, the proc on BotH with the +crit damage on the trinket. I can very much buy that BoTH ends up on top in that regard.
