Get a new GFX or go Crossfire ?

What should I do? I'm playing in 2560x1600. I want to play with ALLE eye candy on max.

Im BF 4 i get 30-40fps maximum :/

My GFX is a 7970. Should I get another one and hope I can achieve +60FPS overall? Is that likely?

Or should I buy one of the new cards from amd?

Pure speculation, but I'd imagine that depending on your CPU, either option would probably struggle to give you 60+fps at max on that resolution...

The new r9-280x can be cross-fired with the 7970s. So i would just get those: you get to buy a new GFX and go crossfire

Except that the R9-280X is not a new card, but a rebranded 7970

But yes, in this case i think going CrossFire is better than a new card. Just look if a 7970 or a 280X is cheaper.

If you look at performance comparison (bottom most chart, BF3):

Compared to a single 7970, the current most powerful single cards (Titan and 290X) have an performance increase of about 50-60%. But if you look at crossfired 7970s (=7990), they give about 100% increase.

I play with everything on ultra. Fps between 58-70.
