New class battle before the expansion announcement. Place your bets!

So, since there's been a few class threads pertaining to the new expansion, I decided that we should have one last poll before the expansion comes out.

I personally believe that due to lack of good options, and the new vanilla character models, there won't be a new race next expansion. That leaves a new class. The clues from GC and the Chinese leak sort of backs that up. So with all that said, among the top candidates, which new class do you think will make an appearance in the new expansion?

Based on Blizzards previous pattern in releasing new classes, my pick will be the option that you did not include: No new class

Though, blizzard changed the pattern this expansion by releasing both a class and a race. so there is still a chance, but i doubt it

personally i dont care what the next class is as long as it uses plate gear with intellect/spirit its getting ridiculous that after 8 years there is still only 1 specc that can use that kind of gear.

I think that the new class will be a mature version of "Tinker", while the Warlock Demo spec will get a serious overhaul leading to it being even closer to the Demon Hunter we all adore so much.

Nothing really prevents them from doing that. Especially given that new models takes care of the "racial" side of things.

What I think is bizarre is that so many people have an issue with 2 classes in a row, but have no issue with having 5 races in a row back to back to back.

Quite wrong. BC gave a new class to each faction, wolk DK and MoP monk.

Only cata disaster had nothing new in classes. I'll bet everything that blizzard will never do the error twice. You can count on a new class for sure. It's one of the things that keep this game "fresh" (and with the great success of monk I'm super excited to see what they can do).

You can't really count Shaman and Paladin for Horde/Alliance as "New Classes", so no BC didn't add new classes.

Personally I hope they don't add any more new classes from here on out. Messes with balance way too much. Yes I understand balance is impossible, but that's no reason to throw more wrenches into the gears.

Well to be fair, Cataclysm did bring in new race/class combinations. However, it was far less than what previous expansions did class wise.

In the end though, every expansion does something for both races and classes.

I'm inclined to agree. I'm shooting off lightning bolts, my tank is smacking some big demon in the face, my healer is trying to keep everyone alive, and you got some jackass playing a guitar in the background.

It just doesn't fit WoW.
