They're not done connecting realms and if things are still that bad they will merge more servers with yours, so chill and give em a bit of time
I don't think this matters nearly as much as you think it does.

Has anyone said anywhere that they're done connecting realms? No? Then they're not finished connecting realms.

2013-11-03, 10:56 PM #5DeletedThey've said they didn't finish yet. I remember one (on pve server) complaining they've started on pvp-servers... too lazy to find the source now but it was about a week ago. So .. patience.

If both realms are dead, then that is likely just the start of the connections. You might end up with 5-10 realms connected to yours. It makes sense for them to connect a few realms at a time to deal with any problems as they arise.
