I'm thinking it's a red-herring. No Expansion has ever been trademarked within a day or two of Blizzcon. We'll know in 30 hours though.

    Google search <Country> Trademark/Trademark Office
And then Search Warlords of Draenor, or Owner search Blizzard Entertainment.

Wrath of the Lich King was trademarked on July 28th, 2007. It was announced at Blizzcon 2007 on August 3rd, but most sites were reporting the trademark simply the day before Blizzcon. This one's just a closer call, since people knew about Cata and MoP months before hand.

3 hints to surviving MMO-C forums:
1.) If you have an opinion, someone will say that it is wrong
2.) If you have a source, there will be people who refuse to believe it
3.) If you use logic, it will be largely ignored
btw: Spires of Arak = Arakkoa.

Indeed, it was trademarked just 4-5 days before Blizzcon, but people didn't notice until a few days after it was trademarked.
