Jesus that's impressive.
If they set-spawned boss monsters and higher/lower level mobs in certain places with the RPG mods for Minecraft they could remake WoW as far as the creatures of the world go as well.

yeah, I agree with Deathbringer. Please do a forum search before posting. There was not only an official post but one by the people making it. It is very cool, but the process of making it isn't as impressive as you would think, at least after the making of the program they used to convert the WoW map to minecraft structures.

How is this done? Is there some sort of computer guide that's generated? I can't imagine they could maintain such accuracy to create the entire world... quite amazing.

Wrote an algorithm to voxelise the map and translate it. If he'd done it by hand... well it'd probably take more than a human lifetime.
