What if time traveling is the reason for the item squish.

How would you feel if Blizzard works in a lore reason for why the item squish would happen, if it were to happen.

It would be a bit of a pathetic excuse but unfortunately 80% of people seem to be convinced its justification..

How would that be a lore reason? "1000 years ago people were weaker than the squirrels are now so now when you are back in time you are also weak."? Gameplay > Lore. They don't need a lore justification to fix a gameplay issue.
