Post Guys, I don't think we can yse "HOTS" for Heroes of the Storm

Heart of the Swarm (Starcraft II expansion) already uses HotS so...yeah. Just sayin'

Not until the 3rd Starcraft expansion is out anyway, which shouldn't be that long after Heroes of the Storm.

It should be easy to distinguish which one a person is talking about taking context into consideration.

I do find it kind of odd that blizz titled two games in a manner than their acronym would be HotS.

Maybe people will end up calling it heroes or something, idk. As the game gets played there will be a name that it goes by.

Why didn't they use Blizzard Allstars? I thought it was cool and when you hear it you associate it with a MOBA right away. I guess it's not RP enough. Heroes of the storm may sound like a MOBA, but it just doesn't have that vibe of Blizzard over it. Starcraft, Warcraft and Hearthstone does imo. Maybe because it's new and those other games are old(except Hearthstone, but it's from wow anyway), and you have to get used to it.

I've just been calling it "Heroes," although I tend to prefer single words over acryonyms anyway ("Mists" over "MoP" / "Siege" over "SoO").

...Well, no, that's a lie. I actually keep calling it "All-Stars" and having to correct myself.

That was my first idea as well. Heroes sounds fine.

I still call it Blizzard Dota. :P
Will try to get into the habit of calling it "Heroes" though, since that's short and simple.

    Heroes & HoS.

I've been calling it Heroes, personally, and from every conversation I've had with Blizzard employees and fellow MOBA lovers alike, they've been calling it Heroes as well.

I've never been a huge fan of acronyms, though, to be fair.

But for now im calling it heroes as well.

Call it Heroes, or Heroes of Storm/HoS. I know the second sounds stupid but at least it's not confusing.
