    Loki: Heroes of Mythology: 5/10.

This game is basically the bastard child of Diablo and Age of Mythology. While the highs are high, the lows are every bit as low. The core gameplay loop is enjoyable and satisfying (at least once you get access to AoE skills), though very repetitive. The game has serious, yet easily-fixable balance issues, has a bizarre control scheme, and tends to bug out a fair bit. Also really doesn't help that you effectively have to beat the game 3 times over to get the true ending. Perhaps the game's greatest strength is the fact that since it's basically gone under the radar for a decade and a half, the game's very undocumented, so it feels like a completely fresh experience. So based off that alone, it may be worth messing with if you've already played through all the good ARPGs.

Martha is Dead = 5/10. Easy but tedious "puzzles", obvious from the start plot twist, wtf vague ending. Its a short game so it kinda kept me interested til the end.

    Tiny Tina's Wonderlands - 8.5/10

It's almost as good as Borderlands 2, but not quite. Though that game had years to add for it, this just came out, so we'll see on that end. Gunplay is great just like BL3, Story is leaps and bounds better, has one of the best villains of the franchise, and you are actually the protagonist in this game, where you basically didn't exist in 3. It's not as big of a game as the mainline borderlands games, and that's not a bad thing, as it's a lot more tight and really no filler. Love the fact I can make my own character, and not a preset with preset skills, really the character customization and multiclassing is great.

There are some noticeable flaws though, at least on PC. Textures when loading into a new area, like the ground textures, sometimes take a few seconds to load, which was there in BL3. The rest are mostly UI problems. Tooltips disappearing, map controls are really really bad with m/kb. Trying to sell items to the vendor is just a terrible experience, but they added a quick sell trash so the headache is slightly eased by that, still not great. And after 5 of these games figure they'd have an easier way to compare gear but nope still bad. If you like these games though, as I do, I 100% recommend it, it's one of the best they've made. Though maybe wait a patch or two to fix some of these UI problems that I've mentioned.

Brother. You have blown my mind. I have hundreds of hours in this game and never encountered this at all.

I am astounded that this game even exists.

    Doom: Eternal - 8.5

Oh boy that was helluva ride. Finished the game on nightmare with around 150 deaths i think, not sure how to check it out, never used sentinel armor or any kind of cheat code. The best thing about game is combat no doubt, dynamic, satisfying. Puzzles however were kinda meh. I did look up couple of those. Music was good, story was ok.

The meh part: backtracking, there were some puzzles that if you missed once, you had to use fast travel to try again and that meant finishing mission first, then backtracking. Sword was kinda drip fed, was hoping to see more sword action, bfg as well.

The bad part: Marauder. Hes not necessarily hard but really annoying. I hate auto block mechanics.
    Ship has been abandoned.

    Elden Ring: 9/10.

Take 1 point of because for some reason they didn't put the level scaling passworded multiplayer as the default multiplayer mode for helping randoms so I can't help newbies kill bosses on my level 165.

Also it has the same problems as all open world games, some copy and paste enemies/bosses, and if you explore the game to the maximum you ultimately overlevel some parts of it. Because I did Ranni's questline so I did the Eternal Cities after Caelid I pretty much overlevelled Atlus Plateau/Volcano Manor and all of Leyndell and pretty much only got back to the appropriate level in the Haligtree which is basically the end of the game.

    Still fun as hell though.

    The Ascent - 7/10

I should definitely rate it much higher since the game is amazing in almost all aspects that I came across while playing it. Probably the biggest things that stood out for me was the features and how intuitively it felt using them. The game has very easy instructions including in-game help codex to search anything you aren't sure about, which is great in my opinion since some games tend to overwhelm you with puzzles so you are being forced in youtube research gymnastics.

Aesthetical menus, easy systems, it definitely feels like you are using a command control panel, also quite satisfactory combat, this makes me want come back to Ascent in the future since I also haven't fully finished main story quest yet.

Couple downsides: a tightly packed hub areas (at least area 13), they could definitely spread out way more, because inaccessible lower layers adds unnecessary confusion. Another downside, while it's an amazing solo game, I wish there was an actual endgame progression systems preferably unlimited replay and maybe paragon system. It definitely wouldn't hurt since you are forced to put this game down once quests are exhausted, hence the lower personal score. Putting this on shelf for now but will definitely revisit it in near future.

    Tiny Tina's Wonderland 7.5/10

Went into this game thinking it was just DLC, which is not too far from the truth, bits it's a little more which I think might be at a disservice. The game is Borderlands at its core. You either like Borderlands or you don't. A campy looter shooter. What it does well is take it theme and execute it very well. You're playing DnD in the BL universe much that grenades have been turned into spells, some guns shoot arrows, and the overworld resembles a game board. The problem is that it short, leaving wanting more and thinking what could have been. More than a DLC, less than a full game. They even added a very fun endgame system that lends itself to roguelites and some cool hidden bosses but once again it shows a lot of potential that it does not live up too. A fun experience that devs put love than what the suits expected to get out of the game. Hopefully they support it as much as BL3 did post launch.

I do not like complicated games that take much of you time and effort. I prefer short entertainment, and therefore, I play mainly casino games. *snip*

Currently dabbling in Lost Ark. Level 46 or so, and I have no idea what end game holds (nor do I want to read up on anything). Seems good so far, though the zones themselves are tiny.

Looks great artistically, combat is .. ok but entertaining enough. Quests aren't holding my attention. Systems are pretty interesting. Triports are dull, but ocean travel is pretty great (and something WoW should absolutely consider implementing) Gender locked classes are never ever a good idea, ok? I give it about a 6.5 / 10. Good enough to continue playing.

    Elden Ring (PS5) - 9.5/10

Fucking masterpiece. Not quite flawless, but does so much so well. 170 hours into it, at the end of NG++ having gotten it on platinum now, I can move on, for now. I love the setting, I love the options for approaching the game. Yes, it pretty much is DS3 in an open world, and I fucking love it. Some minor things stop it from being a 10/10 for me, the camera at times is just bullshit, I have straight up died several times to camera fuckery. Whilst epic, some of the bosses are just too big. I usually adapted, but I don't like feeling like the camera is my enemy also, and moves certain encounters more to the edge between challenge and bullshit. However this isn't for too many enemies.

    Demon’s Souls 8/10

Kinda wish I’d played this when it was current (original) as I killed easily half, maybe 2/3 the bosses on my first pull. I’m thinking to myself “I beat Malenia, what have you got?” on each boss. Was an enjoyable run, though I’m not sure if I have the platinum in me.

As a mace person it was odd going spear, but I needed it in the smithing grounds and it stuck with me.

Just curious: What did you like about the game? I couldn't get into the story and without it the whole game didn't work for me.

It hits the same spot as gathering materials in valheim or other survival games does. Just that boring, single minded task where you're building towards a big goal. Every once in a while I can totally immersive myself in a "Go gather a bunch of materials to build a house" kind of game and this game hits the same spots in my brain.
I absolutely understand why many folks hated the game. The gameplay is meh, the combat is super basic, easy, and kinda lame.

    Melvor Idle - 9/10

It's fun to play OSRS without actually playing OSRS. Offline progression is neat & there's enough new stuff there that I don't feel like I'm simply doing the same stuff I've already done on RS in the past. The coal grind feels ridiculous!
