Back again looking for first build advice.

I'll be ordering it on Black Friday, these are the parts I've put together so far based on feedback, suggestions and reviews.

    CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced ATX Full Tower Case
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

Currently missing an optical drive and PSU. To my understanding just about any optical will do, unless I want to use blu-ray. I'd like some suggestions on a PSU that would easily support this, and have enough power down the road for when I add a second 770.

Some input on the build itself is welcomed as well, the RAM, HDD, and CPU cooler I'm willing to change based on price or performance, etc.

I'd downgrade the CPU to i5 4670K and upgrade GPU to 780, unless you really need Hyper Threading. Same goes for ram, 16Gigs is excessive if you plan to buy the rig for gaming.

You might also want to downgrade the motherboard to MSI Z87-G41 for example, unless you have a specific reason to buy that.

I plan on streaming alot, possibly recording. Overclocking is also something I'm not opposed too.

4670k overclocks just fine, and nVidia is planning to add streaming feature to Shadowplay. Recording already exists.

    4770k isn't really worth it.

nVidia has shadowplay feature that handles that with a very tiny loss in performance.
looz is right, get the 4670k instead.

    - Oh and a power supply for a healthy amount of headroom for overclocked SLI 770's; http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasoni...supply-ss850am

Alright. switched out for the 4670k.

    Current setup now: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/21itE

I know the price will drop somewhat in a couple weeks, and hopefully Black Friday will knock a bit off too. Anything else seem off or should be changed?

I stubborny edited your build a bit. :-P

Cheaper storage, case and motherboard, but 780 as GPU. Also, 8 gigs of ram. You don't need 16 even while editing.

Very much this, windows 8.1 was the biggest improvement for my system, smoother & better core optimization in newer games.

The storage is cheaper, but compared to the original are they reliable? I'm hoping to build it and keep it built until I get the second 770.

Also, is 8.1 really worth it? I was gonna get 7 because it's what I know and comfortable with.

Let's put it this way: Once you get used to windows 8 you don't want to use windows 7 anymore.

The storage is quite reliable, here's a return rate survey from the largest French hardware store: http://www.hardware.fr/articles/911-7/ssd.html (Google translate is your friend.)

Anyway, what for do you plan to go 770 SLi?

Future proof more or less. Couple years when the 770 isn't powerful enough, it'll be cheaper to buy a second one then a newer card.

Why not take the 780 route, then?

I may. Also looking at the 4gb version of the 770.

The problem I have is, it being my first build I'd rather go the safer route.

The machine I'm on is an i3-550 + GTS 450, and it still runs WoW on ultra.

I've been getting mixed input on the 780, people I know saying it isn't worth it, but here you're swearing on it.

Edit: Also, which RAM config is better? 4x4 or 8x2?

8x2 has expandability, but that's about it. I'd take the cheapest decent ram.

The 780 is one of the very best cards at the moment, I'd go for it if you don't mind the price premium over 770. Check out benchmarks and see if it's worth it for you; if you mainly play WoW it is a questionable investment, even 760 will be plenty. But then again with 780 you won't have to upgrade to SLI any time soon...

4gig version isn't a good choice, it helps at higher resolutions but then 770 runs out of oomph instead. It will also be rarer later on when you're looking for another 770 for SLI. Only reason to buy it would be playing heavily modded Skyrim.

Moderately modded Skyrim is what I play now, plan on doing it then with higher settings. WoW is just one of the games I play. I frequent LoL/DotA2, and plan on playing Arma 3 and BF4 with it.
