    Kiting/dealing with melee in pvp

I play destro most of the time and when playing a class like hunter with a plethora of ways to kite, playing a warlock against melee feels like im just delaying the inevitable.

So yeah, how does a warlock kite and deal with melee?

If you are talking about warriors just accept they get higher uptime on you than most pve encounters.... Having a warrior shaped buttplug is sort of a inevitable reality of current PVP and blizz is set to buff intervene so they get even more. Monks are also hard to keep off you (or chase). For the most part locks have to function with melee in their face. We do not have the tools to keep melee off us longterm. Z axis port or a gateway might buy you a couple GCD's at most but generally speaking their gap closers > our gap openers.

PVP in an organized sense you get peels from your team. However this can be dangerous since all a cleave team has to do is get the peels used on a lock then swap to the healer with their fear/magic immunes up and you can't do much to stop them while they rape your healer. Thus your team has to save some peels for the healer swap and you have to deal with melee in your face most of the time.

Aff can do this via soulburn:soulswap and soulswapping thereafter. Destro has a far harder time and you can forget about CB vs teams of similar MMR. Everyone in the world has more ways to stop it than you have ways to cast it. Destro your job is CC and using a double conflag/backlash/FF to get something down 20-30% so your team member can get them to 20% where your shadowburn should do the rest.
