Really disappointed in Anno - the DRM made it close to unplayable.

Zero problems for me.

I sold any snow globes I didn't need immediately, knowing there would be a continuous downwards trend in prices and not expecting a spike near the end. Plus, by using the money to craft other badges, it gave me more globes to sell

I missed the fact that they didn't stick around indefinitely, so I got a lot less for mine than I could have made.

People who pirate games couldn't care less about DRM, the only people that are hurting from DRM are the paying customers.

And if you think DRM is not bad, then I highly suggest you play any game on origin or Uplay, then tell me it's not bad at all.

origin is a LOT better than when it first launched. Uplay however lol...It's one of the reasons I havent played farcry 3 yet.

I've had numerous issues with DRM across multiple games. Everything from a game constantly crashing, to a game not launching after changing video cards. Some of these were fixed with cracks, or phone calls to the publisher (like Ubi), others were unable to be fixed. Steam is the only DRM that I've never had any issues with, though I disliked it for a number of years, mainly for performance reasons, but also since I'd had numerous issues with other forms of DRM.

There is not a single, single-player game released last year that was not pirated. DRM does not stop pirates in any way. Official servers do, but there are private servers for many multiplayer games too. DRM only affects paying customers unfortunately. I don't personally consider any games unplayable because of DRM, but I have had massive problems with both Origin and Uplay which have been a great inconvenience to me, a paying customer. I've also experienced problems with always-online single-player games due to server issues, which is frustrating.

It is sad that DRM actually means in some cases, it's easier for people to download and play a game illegally, than access their legitimate copy.

Rather annoying that every game other than front page games is back at full price. I was hanging fire on buying Defcon until the last day in case it went on sale. Oh well.

Kind of agree with this. Was gonna pick up a few games, but all went back up to full price unless it was a Daily Deal yesterday or got selected on the Encore sale. During the Summer Sale this wasn't the case. Oh well lesson learned for next sale.

No idea. Could be a mistake, on purpose. I'm hoping it's a mistake and they fix it before end of day. I got a notification at like 11am saying the items were still on sale, but they've removed them since then.

Well if that's how they want to do it in the future then it'll be fine. We all know last day will be Encore Day so if something was on sale but never made it on Flash/Community/Daily then we can just grab it then. It's just the ones that got discounted more people will chance on.

• Anything that was on a Holiday Sale is no longer on Holiday Sale unless it's an encore sale or daily deal from yesterday.
  
• Gonna add a post in a bit showing what all went on Daily/Flash/Community for those interested broken down in what made 3 appearances, 2 and only 1 (all excludes Encore Sales). Will also show what only made an appearance because of the community. Which looks like 21 Titles out of 41 so 51.22% of community votes only saw a sale that way.

To be fair, it did clearly state that the sale would be over on Jan 2. Anyone looking at the items would have known that 1PM EST is when they update the sales. Logically that means Jan 2 1PM otherwise it would have pushed into Jan 3. It's not like they tried to trick anyone.

Where did it state this? Everything I'm finding on their site says Jan 3rd at 10AM PST.

I mean on everything that was on sale...the individual games. All the games I was watching on my wishlist, when I went to the store page clearly said the Offer Ends Jan 2 blah blah under it. For Ex, the Lego HP games were 50% and it stated the deal lasted through Jan 2.

Nice job on the list, Lucetia.

As this was encore day i gave in pretty much double my expenses this sale. I bought:
ARMA II: Combined Operations (mainly for DayZ, yes there is standalone, but ill wait till it becomes real game before buying that, plus a few friends purchased it too, so it's gonna be a lot of fun, I hope)
Stanley Parable (expected to see it on sale again, ant couldn't resist after all that praise from everywhere)
Bioshock Triple Pack (never played any of these, only a couple missions of Infinite, will buy the season pass next sale, probably)
And i already had:
Witcher 1 and 2 (doesn't really need any comment, gonna put in lotta hours in these two)
Brothers: A Tale of Two Son's (really looking forward to playing)
Deadlight (already finished great game for the price, and atmosphere was really nice too, a little twist at the end was also nice, not out of nowhere, but still)
Mark of the Ninja Special Edition (started today, fun game, not too easy, not too hard)

Batman Arkham Origins is 50% off and came out 2 months and change ago. And i doubt its hurting for sales.
