Free or Locked Camera?

my cousin plays non locked but he spam press space and its driving me crazy watching him play lol

I don't understand how anyone could play in a serious capacity using locked camera. When I first realized that the option existed, I thought it was an April Fools joke or something.

This thread makes me wonder just how often the player in my game dying 6+ times to jungle ganks is playing with his camera locked.

You can click on the mini map to use global abilities ya know.

They already have a feature to make things easier. It's called unlocked camera. It really only takes a short while to get used to...

I remember playing my first game. Camera was on locked, had seen others move it around.
Around ten minutes in I go "how the -f- do you get the camera unstuck!?"

Yea that was how much I hated it. Didn't even learn about space and center back until level 15 since it's so easy to get back to self anyway.

You're seriously gimping yourself and there's literally no reason for you to do so. Millions and millions of people manage to play with the camera unlocked. (inb4 "millions of ppl play with locked camera too!" - I'll bet most of them are new players, Bronze or Silver V)

It takes next to no effort to manage your camera. It doesn't take a whole lot to learn or get used to playing with it unlocked. A bot game or two and you're good to go... Sure, you'll probably make mistakes for a little while, but that's how it is every single time you want to learn something new. Not just in League, but in life.

Also, let's face it. Learning to move the camera is very, very simple, compared to something like learning a new champion or a new role. I assume you do not refuse to learn a new champion, so why refuse to learn something much simpler, yet much more important in regards to becoming a better player?

It's not the first time I've seen him say he prefers to underperform just because the sake of "convenience" so I really wouldn't bother much about it.
People want to play with locked cam and halve their map awareness...let them be.

I myself never played any moba with locked cam and could only see it as a nuisance and restriction to my gameplay really. I'd actually feel like playing with locked cam is 10x harder....since you can basically do so much less. But to each their own, it's always good having clueless people against me
