    $600 To Spend on Upgrades

Looking for some help on picking up some parts for upgrading my pc a bit with a budget of about $500-600 just trying to get a good bang for my buck atm

    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
    Memory: 4GB RAM
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 32-bit
Card name: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series

No SSD and I can pretty much reuse my case and psu. I play on a 1920x1080p monitor

I don't video edit or anything maybe want to get into streaming a bit not sure not a big priority as I said just looking to get some upgrades if anyone has any idea would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    ^LOL guys..

No chance to reuse the HDD OP ?
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

O yea forgot to say that yea I can reuse my HDD I don't do much in terms of saving videos or anything other then gaming

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-v LK - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131837 (I've used this motherboard for almost 2 years and haven't had a single problem with it)

CPU: Core i5 3570 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115233 or 3570k - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116504 (Basically both the same thing except one overclocks and the other doesn't. If you don't plan to overclock than get the 3570 which is $20 cheaper)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145345 or G.Skill - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231314 or Kingston - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104173 (They are all very good companies and amazing ram. Only like $11 apart between the highest and the lowest. I've tried all these and like them all)

This is really all I could recommend if you only have $600. I would also recommend a new GPU since 6800 is pretty old but, I'm not sure if you would really have enough after buying those pieces.

Anything that is Nvidia Geforce 660 gtx, 660 ti (maybe even 760) AMD Radeon 7790 or 7850 (maybe even a R9 270 or 270x). Just look under http://www.newegg.com/Video-Cards-Vi...Category/ID-38 and look for some that I've listed there.

If you would like an other suggestions on anything just message me on the forum.

He can easily afford a i5 3570k and a mobo with that money; They aren't that expensive.

@professertjc, going from a 6800 series to a 660 is not a worthwhile upgrade. they are extremely similar in performance. tbh if he went with a mid/low range card he would be better off waiting for the next tier of cards low/mid ranges. thats why i suggested a gtx 770 and upgrading the CPU. that would cover most of his budget

add another 4gb of this ram and a cpu cooler like the evo 212 for 30$ as soon as u can

My current RAM type is DDR3 so I guess I can also reuse that as well along with getting another 4gb stick to get up to 8gb in total if thats possible without causing some conflict in a different brand

After doing some research it is not.

    Reference: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/...x-760-670.html

Edit: It knocks the 6870 off the charts for Crysis 3 but it's a little closer on BF3 since BF is optimized for AMD.
