It also comes down to parental choice and at what line that begins and ends. Its been happening for thousands of years..and now suddenly..in Denmark..its a bad thing? I'm not defending circumcision but this argument doesn't help the cause. Half the world doesn't even live in conditions with regular access to sanitation facilities. Cleaning yourself is easy for us in the first-world.

Its DENMARK. Its a ban in denmark, not the jungle. Denmark!. There is ZERO benefits of none medical circumstition. Therefor its MUTILATION and should be banned by LAW.

Removing perfectly healthy and viable tissue for no other reason than "It looks better that way" or "My daddy before me had his cut" makes no sense, the option will still be on the table in medical applications where merit is shown in removing the foreskin due to a condition.

Yeah that's the crux of it I think. I had mine done when I was 19, and it was a really empowering experience, but only because it was a choice that I made. Once you take the choice away it becomes something completely different. But I also understand why people get defensive, you are by extension attacking their bodies (and a part of the bodies that they had no control over, in many cases), so I think a "hey what's wrong with it!" from either side is an understandable response.
