You guys know they can manage this game now with only 300k subs, right?
They don't need you anymore, The people who are constantly saying foolish shit like, "They're going to shoot themselves in the foot if they wait too long!" are just silly.
Let me spell it out for you, Blizzard IS the foot. They are the entire fucking body. It does not matter how big the competition for MMO's in 2014 might seem, people will not leave a game they have already invested 3-9+ years into, and beyond that the other games are always terrible. Always. ALWAYS. ..... ALWAYS. When has that ever changed? Why do you think it would now?
Some of you really think that Blizzard as a whole could fall apart completely if they don't release this beta soon, that simply is not true.
The fact that they are going through with the new season tells you that the current end game content is going to be here for AT LEAST another 12- 22 weeks, that is the window of time you are looking at before a Beta starts.
He may very well be right. When it comes down to it, it does seem like WoD will have less release content than expansions prior, considering we all sorta know that they'll be leaning on scenarios as an excuse to have less dungeons. All the testing they really need sits with raid balance, and balancing the lv 100 talents. What more is there? Dungeon balance doesn't mean jack, and the features being added arent all that big in the first place and will require direct testing: IE only a beta will do it, and once the beta starts the kinks will be immediately obvious.
Hell, stuff like dungeons and the MoP challenge modes get very little change from beta to release. The bulk of testing sits on raids, which takes 2-3 months.

End of February before we see a beta launched and September before we see WoD, at the earliest.
When are people going to stop playing wishful-thinking games and look at plain reality?
I am the one who knocks ... because I need your permission to enter.

Where in that post did I say I think it will come out in June ? I said June and September both have no proof. In fact I even said June is looking less likely each day. What post were you even responding to, because it sure doesn't seem like it was the one you quoted.
In any event, there is no proof. June is not off the table. September is not off the table. Saying either as fact is wishful thinking.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. An August release is still just shy of a year of a single content patch (5.4 came out in Sept 2013) and that's FAR too long. That's me being honest, it isn't depending on one game, it's having a reasonable expectation that the game I am paying for puts out new content at a respectable rate. Can you name me any other single MMO that has patch cycles that last this long? MOP has been out a little over a year now, and during that year, we got FOUR content patches. And having to wait almost a full year for new content is reasonable to you?
"We have enough market share," said no currently employed senior management ever.
Now, this is some genuine walkback.@Rygarius We're excited to get the info out as soon as possible. The writeups and articles don't appear overnight.
People need to realize that it makes no business sense, to customers or investors, following 16 months of swiftly deployed content with a languid six to eight months in which subscriber retention is left to luck. Rygarius essentially said, "Plan? What Plan?" It's just bad PR.

It is reasonable to me. When WoW puts out patches (let alone expansions) they put out a SHIT ton of content. It's worth the wait.
During the downtime between content patches/expansion, I always get bored which is why I unsub and go do something else for the allotted amount of time. It's not up to Blizzard to make sure I'm thoroughly entertained for countless hours during their production period. Anyone who feels otherwise needs to get their head checked. I get MORE than my 15 bucks a month when I'm subbed and when I don't feel like that statement is true anymore, I unsub. Not a difficult process.
When they do drop content, it's the best that the MMO world has to offer which is why I make sure to resub for (almost) every content patch and Xpac. I simply play games that I find entertaining and of the MMO genre, WoW's been the only one to consistently keep me coming back for almost a decade. Couldn't care less what that means to other people, but to me, it means I get reliable, cheap entertainment every time I subscribe. Is that not worth the wait?
The fuck do you people even want at this point? (meant for anyone whom it may apply to, not necessarily the person I quoted)

this.Blizzard is not that fool, they are obviously trying to kill wow in order to have an MMO playerbase ready for Titan
.- that´s why ghoscrawler leaved wow in first place, WoW will only have another shitty and stupid based release date exp , after that , blizzard will shut down 95% of the servers and let the game in F2P. titan is their priority right now, and the news that the titan team was closed is pure bullshit. sorry for the insults
