It's funny that just when they do not stop to mention that they want to get new content and expac at faster rate... MOP will set a new record for longevity!

    Classic Wow 26 months
    BC: 22 months
    Wotlk: 25 months
    Cata: 22 months
MOP: 17 months already and no announcement yet for a beta

So I do not see how MOP could last less time than Wotlk and even maybe Classic Wow!

Highly doubt it's going to be out by June. Judging by the fact that all previous expansions have had their beta's for 5-6 months no less. We're 5 months into 5.4, which is going to make it 10-12 months of 5.4

UNLESS they are able to do a super fast 3-4 month beta. It's possible. And i hope it is. Because if beta lasts 5-6 months then we won't be seeing WoD until late August. Which is 10-12 months of SoO. This is a big problem, and i hope Blizzard learns their lesson when they lose 1m people, they already lost me, they need to release beta NOW.

You posted this misinformation in the other thread as well. BC Beta was 3.5 months, Wrath beta was 4 months, Cata beta was 5 months and MoP beta was 6 months. This is not equal to all of them having 5-6 month betas. In addition MoP beta went longer than anticipated because they split Townlong Steepes into 2 different zones and they completely redid Jade Forest. As I said in the other thread it's possible that something might happen with the WoD beta to make it go an extra month or two but saying that it will be as long as MoP to begin with doesn't make much sense. The BC and Wrath betas are a better baseline as it didn't completely redo the entire world along with all the new zones and features (Cata) or have any extraneous delays (MoP)

Well if they can do what they did with BC for WoD then that would be great. 3-4 month beta would be great, i hope they give us a quick beta again.

Beta in February. Pre patch soon before or after War crimes on June 3rd. Launch by July. Guessing June 24th.

TBC is not a reasonable comparison. There was 1 raid size and difficulty per boss back then, compared to 4 raid difficulties now. They released several of the TBC bosses in unkillable/broken states and just fixed it later. That would never be considered acceptable today. The game itself is also significantly more complicated than it was 8 years ago. Expecting TBC/Wrath beta durations is pretty unrealistic.

War Crimes is being released on May 6th.

It was pushed up awhile back.

Snap, didn't realize it got pushed up.

As much as I'd like to think so, it doesn't really say anything good about WoD's chances of getting released in June, tho. Blech. We're getting close to the point where I have to admit that June is off the table. Two, three weeks at max -- if beta isn't out by about mid February ... then, yeah. And that's if they have a very abbreviated final pvp season and a short beta. Those are possible, but if the beta doesn't start until late February (or later), then, yeah ...

You must be related to my brother then. Always knew he was adopted. He can't keep the months straight either.

Meh.. We should expect one thing: A late august release or in September. Right after Blizzcon I had high hopes for a early release, but I doubt it. Look at the update for the races... There is still many races not shown yet and im sure they arent 100% done/happy with those we have seen. That part is taking a looong time for Blizzard, cause they want it done right. It's kind of the "big thing" for WoD, the updated races.

I bet they will show us one race of one gender with good time between each one and when all of them are fleshed out, beta.

I have no hope AT ALL for a early release. Heck, I feel optimistic thinking about a august/sept release now.

They said early on that racial model updates will not hold back the release.

I think you misunderstood. They said they will release WoD when it's ready regardless of if the models are fully complete or not.
