To skill cap Arcane, you have to be world class raiding material, or else you'll fuck up when you haven't predicted a certain boss ability.

But sure, if we're talking about only learning an optimal rotation and not include the necessary raiding skills you have to be able to master to actually put it to practice, then yeah. I guess I'd pick feral too.

Because when you actually do raid, it's more than just learning how to do a 100% optimal rotation. Some specs require you to plan ahead a bit and change your rotation slightly when you know you're going to get interrupted.
This is pretty much exactly the opposite of the truth. A good feral plays very differently from fight to fight and the thing that separates the good from the bad ferals is the ability to figure out how to deal with the boss mechanics while keeping your DPS high, something that's harder for feral than any other class due to the tight rotation and being melee.

Being melee is actually one of the nicer things this tier for Ferals. The fights that actually matter (Siegecrafter, Paragons, and Garrosh) are pretty respectable to melee. If you train boss on Siegecrafter the entire time you will have insane uptime and the strat you might use might have you stand ontop of the crawler mines spawn area so you'd have <8% downtime due to a mine targeting you perhaps but aside from that it's incredibly easy on melee. Paragons isn't too bad you lose some DPS due to target switching but so does everyone else and also Fiery Edge would be a pain but ranged should be taking care of Aim and Throw Amber. Garrosh also isn't too bad IMO.

Obby is one with the game and understands the true struggles of the Hardest To Master Class™.

Petition to further simplify arcane mages!

EDIT: On a more serious note, can all the mage players please refrain from commenting their own class in this thread, like, come on :P

If you don't say feral druid (for dps specs) you just don't know what it takes to max the spec.
