Anyone just booted out of their account (banned) and unable to contact Blizzard?

I've just had notification from Blizzard that my account has been banned due to "botting" (which I do not do). I can accept that they might make a mistake here, as I have 2 accounts and I'm sure this can confuse issues... however, since that happened (about 30 minutes ago) I've been completely unable to access anything at all at battle.net. Nothing at all for more than a few seconds. It generally times out on me.

I'm quite convinced it's a mistake at their end, and will be resolved in due course, but is anyone else having this issue? I was on Mumble with a friend when it occurred.

I've been playing since classic, spent a fortune on toon transfers and so on, and enjoy the game. I only use addons from Curse, and make sure I don't use any exploits as well... I'm curious about whether or not this is happening to others.

Also, side-note: Mac user. I know there are some problems with software every now and again with Macs.

From what I heard, the PQR detection bans that have been happening en masse were very accurate, however... knowing that you're using a Mac, you may actually be innocent. PQR was unable to be detected on Mac OSX according to my sources as none of the bans happened to Mac users. Put in a support ticket and wait for a response, that's the only course of action you can take. When you submit a ticket, their policy is to have a team of experts go through all of the data and logs on your account at the time of the ban and if you are truly innocent it will be overturned. If you are not innocent (you don't have to tell me, I'm just letting you know just in case) then submitting the ticket will seal the coffin since they will have more evidence against you. My advice in that case is.. if you have a 72 hour ban, count your blessings and don't submit a ticket. If you are perma'd... it can't hurt to try. Hope this helps.

Pretty sure you wont time out on battle.net when you are banned. Didnt happen with me when i was wrongfully banned by their shitty autodetection system. I called blizzard and less than 20 min later i was back ingame. If you know yourself that you have not cheated or botted. Then call them and this should be out of the world rather quick

Banned your main account for botting on secondary account? That would be fantastic. Bravo Blizzard.

When the Banwave went out for PQR one of my guildies also got banned for no reason at the exact same time, he got his account restored within an hour or so. They also said after it was to do with his account potentially being hacked, so either mistakes, confusions (or just coincidences) do happen, but they get resolved.

If I had to guess it's to do with the current battle.net errors, EU BN is down and is having login issues, and afaik so is US. Or at least it was a few hours ago when I was watching a stream.

E: And apparently random servers going down, fun fun.

Thanks for all replies. It's quite heartening. I'm still unable to access any of their websites long enough to attempt to contact them successfully. I know for sure that I don't bot or do anything against ToS that I'm aware of, unless there's something sneaky hidden in an addon I use, but I'm pretty careful about that stuff. Veteran players tend to be a bit more wary. First time this has ever happened -.-... wasting meh reset!

    Thanks again, everyone.

Many hours later I could finally find enough stability on their sites to create a ticket. Here's hoping it'll be fixed by raid time.

Never happened to me before - I'm pretty careful of my account.. there are so many hours and pretty legendaries etc on it that I'd never knowingly jeopardise it.

Do you know how many posts a year are made by people who were banned for botting that claim they weren't?
I imagine I would get the same results if I interviewed prisoners and asked them if they really did it.

I'm not calling you a liar, I'm just saying that these posts come around so often. If Blizzard was ran by PayPal, then I could totally understand people saying they were banned for no reason without questioning if they were lying or not.

    That's obvious IMO.

Cheaters have to be banned, no matter how and on how many account they cheat...
That would be retarded if you could botfarm on a side account providing your main and clean account with material/gold free of charge. Hit them where it hurts until they understand.

If you used PQR, then you got caught up in the recent botwave. If you're really 100% sure that you are innocent, call their support hotline instead of a ticket, they are much more reasonable over the phone. If you ever botted in the past, however, don't even bother contacting Blizzard, it's only going to make your situation worse. I had a friend who was permabanned for botting archaeology 6 months since he touched the bot, and another friend who was banned literally the day after he experimented with a PvP bot.
    You just lost The Game
