    3 times 10 is 30
if 10 dollars is you profit and you increase the profit to 30 that is 3 times the profit
not sure where you learned math

Not sure where you learned economics. Increasing costs decreases demand.

Why would anyone buy something at 3 times the mark up?

First, he didn't say 10 dollars was the profit, he said selling something at $10 was profitable. Increasing that price to $30 wouldn't make it three times as profitable, but rather more than that, possibly much more depending on expenses.

However, increasing cost isn't going to increase, or even maintain the same demand, especially if you are already at the high end of what the market can bear.

No, must be trickle down economics. I'm driving my old TV into a wealthy neighborhood, to see if I can get 3 times it's value. Maybe sell it as an antique from the last century...

I have no doubt that there are people out there that want that done with people on SNAP.

If we just pay people to check bags at the door full time just think of all the money being wasted on skittles we'll save!

Bag of chicken goes from five to fifteen dollars. I'll probably just buy three times the ramen and some extra rice. :\

Not to mention if we teach those people to also do drug tests then we can catch all the sneaky druggies. Brilliant!

What are you talking about? Everyone on SNAP buys lobster and T-bones and champaign(sp?) and then gets in their new lexus SUVs and talks on their IPhone 9's to their friends as they drive back to the hood to get in their Jacuzzi and relax, since they don't have to work for these things like the rest of us.

(this post might have had a tiny bit of sarcasm involved)

My takeaway from this is that a bit of welfare is better than forcing people to work for shit wages and encouraging the practice.
