But if they're going to open an alpha for HotS to start inviting people, they presumably will have to do some work to battle.net stuff - hence the 8 hour maintenance? Not a huge leap here.

Their maintenance though is for all of Blizz's games. Not just WoW. So to add something else they need to shut everything else down too. Iirc.

I guess, but seeing the Heroes of the Storm client already leaked early (and as such is available) I doubt they have to do much work. I don't think they need maintenance to simply flag accounts.

Mace Specialization has been removed (was 1% Expertise with maces).
Sword Specialization has been removed (was 1% Expertise with swords).
The Human Spirit has been redesigned. It no longer increases Spirit by 3%, and instead now increases two secondary stats by an amount scaling with character level. You can choose which two secondary stats it increases. This has not yet been implemented.

Huh? Why mention that it hasn't been implemented yet? I guess these were just copied from the beta patch notes.

Yeah, Bashiok just clarified that.

"Keep in mind these are directly from notes kept for the internal build. Any "Not yet implemented" callouts are referring to the internal build undergoing testing, and obviously not the currently live game you're playing. "

IIRC, cata didn't have a Digital Deluxe - only regular and CE.

I believe the healing blog should be mostly new info. Other than the change to spirit only on jewelry (which we already know), I can't think of anything else we know about their philosophy for healers.

They want to make it not a spam fest and into more of an intelligent decision to heal this person with this spell instead of relying on all smart spells to keep the raid up. So that overhealing is a bad thing.

Things i wish is that toning down of the Absorbs would happen. Less raid wide cooldowns on every dps class. Less dps healing cds.
