Also, interesting that the beta installer was updated. Do they even need a separate installer though? Won't it just be a 3rd option under WoW in the Battle.net Launcher? (WoW, PTR, Beta)

No idea. There was no notification or anything so likely they're having problems. It's affecting all of us.battle.net now, not just the WoW site.

Launcher also looks like this. Pretty sure it does this any time Battle.net sites are down though, since it gets the news images from them. (It looks the same on all 4 games.)



I think it's just purely that - The website happens to be down right now. Every time the website goes down, there's unexpected maintenance, or someone notices the upgrade arrow on their PTR account people think beta is beginning in this thread. Just wait for beta to actually start imo, none of these 'signs' appear to mean much.
