WoD F&F Alpha confirmed?

Is this a start up or Billion dollar Blizzard? They only use F&F alpha as a stress test so it only needs to run for a few weeks.

Seeing how the next PvP season havent started yet, and they usually last for around 5 months, we would have a WoD release in july-august.

They have said though that this next season would be a shorter one then the previous. Now whatever that means is up to you but I still assume they are aiming for a spring release but didn't want the same arena season lasting 3 more months.

I really wish MMO Champ would ban the phrase F&F alpha. They havent had one in years. Theyve been going straight to beta yet people STILL keep talking about a F&F alpha

Nonsense, i can guarantee you that both MoP and Cataclysm had an F&F Alpha, how? Because i was in both of them....
It's usually not that exciting with all the blue-white placeholder blocks around and most areas stil lclosed, but it's alpha nonetheless.

No, they haven't said that. All they said is that they are not saying it will necessarily be a 20-25 week PvP season. And, even that was only said after people took Holinka's comments to extrapolate to a release date. They said yesterday on the investor call that the majority of Blizzard's releases will be in the second half of the year. Since they have RoS, Hearthstone and WoD and ROS is confirmed for March, that means that WoD has to be pushed to July or later if that statement was true.

I strongly suspect they are targeting a late September release.

Heck remember the hilarious F+F cata leak that happened and then Boub posting tons of images because he figured cat was out of the bag and then blizzard going "no bad boub take those down"

I am certain that it is in internal alpha but I doubt it will go into FF Alpha since there was only a internal Alpha for MOP before beta was opened.

Its been said multiple times that there was no FF Alpha only an internal for MOP there was a FF alpha for Cata but not MoP

Exactly!! There was proof of all other FF alphas except MoP.

He works for Blizzard so it makes sense they have internal testing going on. It doesn't mean there's a F&F alpha or beta available outside of developers.

If he works for Blizzard than he would be smart enough to know the difference between an internal alpha which is employee only and a friend and family alpha.

MoP didn't have a F&F Alpha.

And I can guarantee you that MoP DID NOT have a "Friends and Family" alpha. It had an internal Alpha build, yes but it was NOT accessible from outside Blizzard.

if the expansion is coming out anytime soon internal testing would of started a long time ago. just because there is no leaks doesn't mean testing isn't happening, it just means they have people in it who actually take the NDA seriously.

Except that you don't actually have to keep doing SoO or even keep playing WoW. I never understood the whole, "waaahh, X more months of [raid]!" Just cancel your subscription until about a month until the next expansion releases and, bam, no more need to complain about how long the final raid of an expansion lasts.

While I agree there's no point in complaining about it there's still plenty reason to be disappointed in it. No we don't have to keep doing SoO and yes we can go do something else until the next expansion releases but you really can't understand that some people would rather be doing new stuff in WoW?
