Prayer of Healing heal party or raid

In a raid does PoH only heal the party of the person it hits or does it heal any 5 in the raid within range (so either party at the same time)

So for example ten man raid group / party 1 is all melee and tanks.
Group 2 is 1 melee and 4 range / healers

Range / healers are 35 yards away from melee. If I PoH on group 2's melee person it will only him him and no one else as no other party is withing 30 yards - grp1 is next to him but not the same party so it doesnt hit them?

That's correct, The rest of his group would need to be within 30 yards for it to hit them, they could be standing directly next to you and it wouldn't hit them if your target is 40 yards from you and in their group.

In VuhDo, an excellent raid frame addon, you can set cluster indicators, which will show you how many players are in range of a target based on parameters, such as 30 yards and in the same party. It's extremely useful, and you can google how to get that setup in no time.
