LFR Tanking Request

I would like to make one simple request from a tanking PoV:

I would like to run LFR in ToT and/or SoO with another tank who's actually willing to explain some of the fights and offer tips/tricks for doing them. I've read some over the fights and done all of them from the DPS side of things (melee and ranged - mostly ranged) but only the Forgotten Depths wing of ToT from a tank's view. If someone would be willing to help me on this please message me here. I'm not looking to be carried by any means - I just would like someone who's not of an elitist mindset and apt to rage in a matter of seconds because of a slip up.

You must be unlucky then. When I tank LFR i would say 4-5 of every 10 times the other tank tells me they don't know the mechanics, so before the boss I explain what they need to know to do their job. Asking someone isn't bad. If you get kicked, you probably don't want to be running with that group anyway. If i wasn't at work, i'd do one with you but alas, here I am. Good luck, my suggestion is just say it in whisper to the tank. Say hey, throw me in short form what I need to know. I've tanked b4 but never tanked this wing. Trust in the good of people and maybe you will be rewarded.

I always explain things to the other tank if i notice he messes up or asks me. The problem is people are always asshats. Out of all the tanks i've played with i only recall 3 being good, and 2-3 actually taking my advice or listening while i explain if it's their first time.

I got 5 90 tanks and probably played with atleast a few 100 other tanks in LFR.

So most tanks are usually shit and don't expect them to do anything, especially not tanking anything.

I tanked for the first time this whole xpac this weekend. Do what I did. Google search for tank strats for the instance you want. 5 minutes of research will answer most of your questions.

You can find very short "lfr version" summaries for most LFR encounters. Probably all of them, actually. Try wow.joystiq.com. Not sure what you'd search for but I've seen them there.

Seriously, under 7 minutes including searching and you'll have quick summaries for ToT and SoO

I was always happy to help my co-tank in LFRs, back when I ran them. Sadly the trolling, AFKers, toxicity and in general overarching dumbassery that you described perfectly in your first post have since convinced me not to bother with it.

There are too many rude idiots polluting LFR. Which is something Blizzard can't really fix, unfortunately.

I'm probably pretty toxic at this point, there's a whole youtube out there and all people have to do is watch a video before they go crap up someone elses LFR. Instead they show up to LFR and demand an explanation from others (not just tanks either, but tanks are obviously the most critical). These guys always show up with no gemming, no reforging, no understanding of threat. They really demand knowledge be handed to them as easily as the LFR drops are, and it's hurting things. If you queue for a role and then show up to LFR unprepared to actually do that job, it's a problem.

Edit: to be clear I like OP though, he's making a plan and trying to learn stuff prior to LFR.

I've read up on the strats to be somewhat familiar with them - I'm just looking for someone to run with to help me with mistakes I make or offer some pointers on what I can improve on. Reading up on strats is one thing but actually testing them out is another. In the least I don't want some elitist jackass co-tank not willing to explain things, communicate with me or hell, speak English.

@Mirishka - I wish that wasn't the case either. Someone with your attitude prior to the change in mindset is exactly what I'm after.
