Raven Mount and Pet in Patch 5.4.7?

According to the front page, "The Warlords of Draenor Collector's Edition mount and pet are included in this patch."

Does this mean pre-orders will open this week? I know no date has been announced, but it seems strange that the CE items would be in the patch, but we can't access them yet.

No it just means that when the yare ready to begin pre-orders that the CE stuff is in the game and can be sent instantly.

IIRC all this means is that when pre orders are available it will not require you to wait for the actual 6.0 pre patch or 6.0.1 WoD patch.

The items and data for the pre-orders will be in the patch on Tuesday, but Blizzard has to effectively "flip the switch" to allow us to begin pre-ordering. It doesn't mean they'll be accessible automatically on Tuesday. All it means is that they will be ready whenever Blizzard decides to make them available, as soon as Tuesday hits.

They could be available as early as Tuesday, but might not be flagged for access until as late as 2 months before the expansion releases, or anytime in between. We just don't know yet, and they're not guaranteed or required to make the pre-orders available on Tuesday when the patch hits.

It just means they intend to start pre-orders sometime during this patch, and not after the next one.
