Wow, so many casters are crying right now, i`m sure melee wont stay as it is in WoD, and besides, it has been world of castercraft many years now, i think it is time for some change.
Finally some good changes at the Cooldowns and CC!!!
PvP will be really fun in WoD!!!
The start of an expansion is typically Meleecraft as Melee benefit more from Weapon damage than Casters benefit from pure Spellpower but by the end of an expansion it's almost always Castercraft. Outside of Warriors in 2's and Rogues with Glaives, S4 was Wizardcraft. Outside of Smourne wielding Plates, S8 was dominated by Wizards. Outside of Dagger wielding Rogues with Vial, S11 was dominated by Wizards.
This is the first end-tier season where Wizards havn't dominated entirely, since Warriors, Rogues and Unholy Dks are all viable with Rogues and DK's scaling even better than Warriors.
BC Warriors win first half
Warlocks win second half
Wotlk DK's win... everything forever?
I don't even remember casters reigning?
Cata Wizardcleave is essentially trademarked
Rogues shit on everything in second half
Also, I've played TSG, Mixed comps like KFC, and Wizard cleave and god cleave.
From my experience spellcleaves are about 1000x harder to pull off.
Time...line? Time isn't made out of lines. It is made out of circles. That is why clocks are round. ~ Caboose
WTB shorter duration to instant AoE fears.
All fears will be six seconds in wod.
While all of this is fun speculation, however, I see a HUGE issue with threads like these... Pretty much EVERYTHING is getting overhauled from DPS cds, instant casts resilience/damage output (bursting), and ccs, It's practically impossible to make an informed decision as we have pretty much nothing on how classes will work with all of the removed abilities and the like.
Honestly, any form of complaining like x class will beat x class easier or whatever is just a guess as things are going to be changing drastically.
All I can say is, I love the direction it's going in. No idea how well they'll execute it, but their ideas and logic are something I'm finding agreeable and sound like they're trying to levy the frustrations I think a lot of people have with PvP atm.
