    Warlords Of Draenor Reputations

Any guesses on the reputation factions that we might see in WoD? My guess is that we'll see quite a lot of faction specific ones as they seem to be moving towards a more faction segregated experience compared to other expansions. Plus there doesn't seem to be much opportunity for many neutral factions. My guesses:

    Horde:
    > Main Horde expedition.
    > Frostwolf Clan.
    > Blood Knights (We know they'll be appearing.).
    > Farseers.
    > Blackrock Clan. In 6.1, the remnants of the Blackrock Clan lead by Orgrim Doomhammer.

    Alliance:
    > Main Alliance expedition.
    > Karabor.
    > Blood Knight counterpart. Maybe Sentinels?
    > Draenei Archivists. These and the Farseers will be the Lorewalkers of the expansion.

    Neutral:
    > Arrakoa (as the Klaxxi of this expansion - The followers of Anzu helping us fight those Arrakoa who have turned towards the Old Gods.).
    > Sporegar perhaps?
    > Shado-pan Expedition? No word on the Shado-pan but it makes sense for them to send some forces after Garrosh.
    > Gul'dan. Supposedly acting as an ally. I expect he'll be this expansions Black Prince, helping us on our Legendary quest.

Well, Garrosh became their responsibility, so maybe we'll see the shado-pan but they probably have very minor role, f.e. when we find evidence of places where garrosh was etc they will appear and have a quest or two

    basically following his trail

they would be the maiev to illidan?

Damn ... good call. Maybe not on Gul'dan specifically, but I had really thought we'd have a Wrathion of WoD, although considering they've said they'll probably do another MoP-style legendary it's a good bet.

I really hope that's not the case. I know they've hinted we might join forces with him but it's freaking Gul'dan, neither faction should be naive or dumb enough to work with this guy after what he's done.

Actually it seems reasonable enough. His original parallel was a foolish, power-hungry orc who delivered himself to his own demise, and with Garrosh wrecking his plans, why not manipulate a fragile alliance to take them down, and then him?

I think if it appears that Gul'dan is completely at our mercy it could work. Imo the Legendary questline will begin with us eradicating the Stormreavers and taking Gul'dan captive to help us work on the DP.

If Gul'dan ended up being the legendary giver of this expansion, I think it'd be more likely that he'd be playing us the entire time, having us collect the resources for some (possibly legion themed?) legendary that he then turns on us with and makes his escape with. Then for those who have done all the legendary quests up to the final patch get to fight Gul'dan in the raid, take back the legendary we worked to get for him and claim it as our own!

I like this idea. Do with (whoever) what everyone basically expected out of Wrathion.

Didn't they say there was some tigran race or something along those lines?

IMO, reputation will be very weird this xpac. Every other xpac had some large neutral organization throughout the xpac

Wrath had Argent Crusade and Knighrs of the Ebon Blade and Wyrmrest and Kirin Tor

Cata had Earthen Ring and Hyjal Guardians

MoP had Golden Lotus and Shado-Pan.

WoD has.....? The whole xpac seems to be the Draenei and Frostwolves independently attacking the Iron Horde. Where they aren't working together actually. Which I'm fine with buy, could make factions odd.

    NO MORE PANDA-RELATED STUFF!!!!

We don't want Shado-pan, as we just want to lay this last failure of an expansion behind us..
    Fact (because I say so): TBC > Cata > Legion > ShaLa > MoP > DF > BfA > WoD = WotLK

I would be cool with Taran-Zhu or Cho coming with us on adventures and stuff for a while, I wouldn't want them to go completely obsolete this quickly.
    You just lost The Game

What about a sole pandaren village beeing pillaged and burned down by the iron horde , its inhabitants massacred and screaming "Slow down" before they are buried in mass graves. Wouldn't it be charming?

And since you speak for everyone...

On topic, I actually wouldn't mind fewer, if any, new factions to grind rep with. I am a "less is more" type, and unless they make tabards work the way the toys and heirlooms do, I'm going to run out of space!
"Can't you see this is the last act of a desperate man?"

Those of us who did the old Blood Knight questline in full should start at Revered with
    the Blood Knights. ;P

We certainly do. As an adult who isn't constantly paniced by the fear that I could be found "immature" at any moment, the concept of the Shado-Pan doesn't have the massive bias glasses pointed at them and I see an elite "Navy Seals"-esque force of ninja-like bear-men (hyphen) that are hunting down Garrosh just like Maiev once did.
Soothing Mist:"Healing them for a minor amount every 0.5 sec, until you take any other action."
Jade Serpent Statue: "The statue will also begin casting Soothing Mist on your target. healing for 50% as much as yours. "
    [What's half of minor?]
"Statue casts Soothing Mist at a nearby ally for toddler healing."

It would be pretty cool like if maybe at some point Garrosh gets the jump on us, and there's a cutscene where he's standing over us about to deliver a final blow ... and the camera pans a bit and you see the Shado Pan silently emerging from the shadows behind him.

Although I imagine we'll "find out" Garry is already dead, maybe even killed by his father (with or without having revealed his true identity)

My line of thinking is that he'll help us craft Legendary weapons to crush the Iron Horde with so he can then escape and tempt the now desperate remnants of the Iron Horde into drinking the Demon Blood.

While I did enjoy MoP, Taran Zhu is my least liked Warcraft Char of all times. He is too emotional. At the very beginning in the Jade forest he seems rather unfriendly and xenophobic.

At the Temple of the White Tiger he is still unfriendly and xenophobic at best. We then find out he was corrupted by the Sha at some point, we cleanse him, and work up to be buddies with him during Townlong Steppes.

He didn’t make any appearance during 5.1 and went on being friendly during 5.2 with the player and eventually stopped the conflict between the Sunreavers and the Kirin Tor.

Then Garrosh does his thing with the vale and next time we see him he is unfriendly and xenophobic against the players again – the players who went after Garrosh to bring him down for what he had done. Alliance and Horde alike.

Aside from that: They really fleshed out the Pandaren storyline well, but in all fairness there were Pandaren everywhere. I know it’s their freaking continent, but they were a tiny bit overused. They were part of almost every questline in every zone. It would really be nice to not see them in quite some time. In addition: Pandaria, now not covered by the mists anymore need their few Shado-Pan to defend it.

My view is that the story should progress in the way that is logical, not necessarily based on which characters are more or less popular. The Shado-Pan are in charge of Garrosh' custody, sending them after him on Draenor is what makes sense. Their absence would quite frankly be a plot hole. It's a plot hole which pops up an awful lot in WoW and Blizzard's only excuse is that they wanted someone else to have the spotlight and they didn't have time for everyone. Which I disagree with. There are hundreds of quest givers, there's room for everyone.

I'd also like Blizzard to prove that they can introduce a new playable race and not immediately ignore it after it's début expansion.
