I still believe this game has the best 1-50 content around. The class stories for the most part (and yes I know it's subjective) are still the best content around. The rest isn't all that amazing and it gets worse as you head to end game but those 8 class stories are some amazingly good content..

Almost finished leveling up a Jedi guardian, tanking is sorta fun. I thought it might be slow going lvling up as a tank, but it turns out they do fine damage. And I can use my companions as dps instead of heals now because I am not squishy like my sith marauder.

I think they have a free month premium promotion going on providing you meet a certain criteria. I'd love to pick it back up again but only if I could find an active and friendly guild. Actually I might let the client download over night and see about giving it another blast in general. The leveling experience is really worth it and I have several classes which need to be seen to.

When I came back I asked in general chat about joining a guild. Ended up in one of the biggest on the server and it's been great. Because of (I feel) SWTOR's planet conquest system, a lot of guilds (big ones anyway in my experience) organize events to help their players achieve their personal conquest goal. And ultimately for me, this has lead to a very fun environment.

A quick way to see the big guilds on your server is to check your missiong log (L), then go to the Conquest tab. There's a drop down to see different planets. You can quickly see what big guilds are out there (you'll see a mix of imp and pub).

Not to say small guilds are bad. For some people they may prefer that. I'm not at that point personally.
