No restrictions that I know of. It is like one free week as a subscriber. After that week you drop right back to F2P or preferred. You also get a newcomer bundle that contains a few things as well.

I've always kept an active sub, though to be honest sometimes I wish I didn't. I take months off at a time at random, only to be drawn back in by either an event or the itch to play through the stories. Well worth trying out if you're a fan of Bioware's writing. A lot of it is pretty basic, but it's surprisingly easy to let it slide and enjoy the atmosphere. I suggest the Imperial Agent. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd act twist that you can see coming... but they're still a LOT of fun to experience.

Game play is also simple with constant growth.

Worth subbing? Eh. If you love xmog, alts, and player housing? Yes. If no, probably not.

PM me your in game name and I'll throw you some credits to get you started depending on if you are F2P or not. I know F2P has some restrictions in trading and might not be able to trade at all.

One bit of helpful advice. If you sub and decide it's not for you. Remember to get a Stronghold. The cheapest one will do. Add in a legacy bank at a minimum. It will have the ability to hold credits. Putting credits into it does not shift them into escrow should you drop back to F2P and have the credit limitation. You could then pullout the maximum amount of 250K for F2P or 350K for Preferred whenever you need the credits and not have to work with escrow stuff. It's a slight workaround thats handy and most people don't know about it.
