Passion:Horde or Alliance?

I mainly play Horde because Alliance quests and NPCs are, flavor wise and mechanic wise, boring. Too many quests that are "hey, we need help" or "hey, go help those people" or just "talk to this person."

It used to be horde, before we got all that "Da horde be da family mon, you can't have fun being warlike because its bad" shit. Now, neither of them as they are both similar and both boring.

I would actually favor the Alliance (don't forget, my main is a Blood elf, and Blood elves were once part of the Alliance).

But since I'm an avid PvPer, and am very competitive, I do enjoy playing with others who share my passion (and this is where me and Alliance players diverge).

So for me, its a split - I favor Horde primarily for PvP, but I'm secretly an Alliance sympathizer.

I know, blasphemy, but Blood elves were never really accepted or fully integrated into the Horde to begin with.

I think you're going to have to find out for yourself which side you prefer, but I love the Alliance because they feel like the underdog. Both sides can claim that, though. Usually in fantasy games I find playing humans to be boring, but something about WoW humans really captures my interest. Maybe because they were nearly wiped out and originated as the outcast offspring of a bigger, stronger race. Maybe it's because one of my first computer games was Warcraft 1.

I play horde predominately, I have no love for all but two alliance races. and they both happen to be races that get shafted out of the story. though really everyone is second fiddle to humans. I've been an Orc fan since WCIII, and other awesome races (goblins 4ever). plus I've always been more drawn to anti/dark heroes.

I was a bit more passionate about the Horde when they were real outcasts back in Vanilla and you were always outnumbered by the Alliance.

Then Blood Elves happened and both factions feel more or less the same now.

To be honest, I don't feel strongly about either faction one way or the other. I play Alliance because my friends who originally got me started on the game were Alliance, and I wanted to play the same server/faction to be with them. If they'd been Horde, so would I.

I play a little bit of both these days but mainly Alliance, because Dwarves > anything the Horde can offer. Tauren is the only Horde race I really like.

I don't know if I'm so much passionate about being alliance as I'm passionate about not being horde.

I rolled Horde because my friend who got me into the game was Horde. However, if I had started playing the game by myself with no outside influence, I probably would have rolled Horde, anyway. I like the theme more than the Alliance's, although lately I've been wanting to switch to Alliance just for a change of scenery. I might end up using my boost on an Alliance character, but my main will always be Horde.

For my taste, Alliance is too polished. Horde is where outcasters and underdogs goes. They are a bunch of races that were pawns in the past for other powers and now free, they look out for each other to survive. They are not strict as the Alliance, their lore is more interesting and they are full of mistakes, which make them more human. They keep shaping themselves and doesnt have a dogmatic ideology like the Alliance.
