The vast majority of people know that... the problem is you WANT TO BELIEVE that the other side is nothing more than mouth-breathing brainless fools who think that was somehow a statement from her put into our brains by some conspiratorial mass liberal-media hypnosis. We're not... we know she didn't say that - but that quote perfectly encapsulated the stupidity that is Sarah Palin which is why it resonated so well.

Larry Crieg never resigned... I don't think most people know that, because the media never had a follow up to his nationally broadcast resignation. It's the perfect example of what media is and the selective memory that it takes to blame agendas. The 'wide stance' shit was due to the sensationalism of it, not that he was a republican. It's why him not resigning didn't have the same attention, because the point isn't to shame a republican, but to exploit sensationalism.

ACORN was ruled innocent of all charges and the story enirley created by the media. Selective memory is the only reason to blame the media for any agenda, but sensationalism. Not for political reasons, but ratings. Even Rupert Murduch said he would switch to a liberal format, if the ratings justified it.

Actually I woudn't say it's semantics in this case - particularly as many conservatives here and in office like to accuse Obama and others of "not wanting to open talks" - particularly when they shut down the government when they didn't like what the original talk produced - and then yet somehow blame Obama for "not wanting to talk" when the time for talk was WAAAAY past then.

So, yeah - it's not really semantics.

Of course, if it is true - then it's also a clear-cut case that it's showing he's about making himself more rich, NOT about any actual political belief.

And yeah, that whole ACORN stupidity... people accuse CNN of being biased, but they sure as hell were keeping up with all that ACORN crap when it was clearly just a bunch of hooligans trying to get easy money and those applications were thrown out/rejected. your not allowed to remove periods that don't fit your assertion so to make your assertion valid

if you allowed to remove the period of WW2 as cause for the increase then im allowed to remove the period after WW2 as cause of the decrease we wasn't spending any more to support the war. we were also the only major economy left standing the period after WW2 we had a major increase in GDP and the chart is a comparison of debt to GDP

Then you're left with an extremely short period that can't imply causation, only correlation.
