Hell my township is hiring "laborers" at $10/hour. No prior experience or skills required.

You can't be serious. Trade schools do cost a lot of money for higher education. I spent over a year and a half going full time to become a certified welder. The only reason I could do that was because the state was paying for it. And it wasn't cheap. And I know it takes a crap load of more schooling to be a teacher or anything in the medical field.

What makes you think the gallon of milk costing more is in any way relative to making minimum wage?

Prices don't rise because of inflation. Prices rising is called inflation.

    Are you purposefully dense?.
In a rampant inflationary scenario the people owning money would lose as that money loses value, and last i checker the bottom third of America is in debt, I.E they would gain from it.

Really? Because presently people are working their knuckles to the bone and still struggling to get by because people like you continually advocate for the removal of public assistance programs and lower wages.

The prices rising every year is due to inflation. Stagnant wages means people are behind where they were years ago. Those who got their big start and made a small business when minimum wage in 1978 was effectively ~10.50 in 2013 dollars are now trying to pull that ladder up behind them.

Then if that is the American dream, it is gone from America. America has one of the lowest rates of economic mobility in the world. Even Canada, with an over $10 minimum wage, has surpassed us, and nordic countries have been ahead of us for awhile.

As the popular quote goes, if you want to live the American Dream, move to Denmark.

If they are receiving public assistance, they arent working their knuckles to the bone, or they are disabled

No man ever wished on his deathbed that he had spend more time working.

If the American Dream is to work hard day in day out with barely any vacation for a wage that barely keeps you alive then its not really a dream, more like a nightmare.

Not that the American Dream ever was relevant, since its basicly what the person using the term wants it to be, kinda like its the same with morals and god.

You are aware the way to have anything you want is not to work? It's just to have money and make money off it out of thin air.

Now you wanna talk about debt. You have no authority to talk about debt when you mention more money being in circulation as a good thing. Or when consumption is your only measure for an economy. I'm for saving and investing not people spending their new found money in order to 'create more jobs'.

Nope it is completely possible for someone to work 3 minimum wage jobs and still need government assistance because minimum wage is disgustingly low.

So if a person is working two jobs and has to resort to welfare simply to pay rent or buy food then they aren't 'working their knuckles to the bone'.

What a lovely bubble of privilege you live in.

I worked 40 hrs a week and still needed public assistance. You live in a completely delusional world.
