30 level 90s

Lvling now is kinda easy if you know how to level fast solo you should max use 30 hours per character, but yeah it is dedication to lvl that many. still got 9 soon 10 legendary cloaks. I got different goals :P

This is just scary when people grind 40-50 alts. Amongst my friends I would called them crazy for leveling a class they already have but when you extend the boundaries of people to everyone that plays you get some really extreme cases. 40-50 alts is extreme, it goes beyond dedication to something more like addiction.

i love leveling, i really do, i find that as long as the questing is done well and tells a good story it can make a case as being the most enjoyable thing a game has to offer. for instance i happen to find that swtor's leveling is quite engaging and although ive leveled every class i still roll alts and play every now and then, yay for f2p!

that being said i dont think i could bring myself to do something like this even in a game like swtor. i think back in Cata i had 3-85s and i admittedly read all the quest text as i wanted to see what the story was like on both factions but the 3rd 85 i leveled i skipped everything because it was boring. i guess maybe if i had an endless supply of narcotics i might be able to do it, they seem to help with everything

I don't mean this in a judgmental way: Imagine if all that time spent leveling characters had been spent on gaining real world skills that could actually benefit you in some way. You could probably have become reasonably proficient in several languages or gained a qualification. And when I say you I also mean me

You proved that it is the player that decides what he does in an MMORPG of a game in general.

And I think it is the BEST way to play all kind of games: set out a goal to achieve. it makes playing games much more interesting and satisfying.

In every game I like to set out such a goal and play it until it is reached.

In WoW back in late 2007 that was going for the Justicar title (the achievements were not even in the game back then).

In Heartstone I am grinding to get Gold capped etc...

I think it is great to see posts from people actually PLAYING the game instead of ex lovers who whine about everything.

You realise you had all the same amount of time he had. What did you do with it?

I see it sort of like having children:
feed (i make more than 1k+ per char/ week from lfr/lfd's, old raids, crafting etc and all can buy consumables but only for flex and above)
clothe (all 7 have the cloak and 530-45 gear)
llove and teach them (know how to play all 7, f/b dk, muti/comb rogue, frost/arcane mage, spriest, ele sham, ret/prot pally, all 3 warrior specs)
etc.

Also one more priest, mage, paladin on the 3k valor quest, and I treat them equally, so yeah, I'd say I'm good :>.

The game is so easy now days that this is the only way to show something that tooked time and effort. And i quess theres nothing more to do in the game anymore cause its so boring and EASY. Well played Blizzard...

well belive it or not people actually enjoy lvling stuff not only doin same end content over and over and over and over again - especially if this endgame is clearning same raid on 4 difficulties depending how geared your alts are -_- during lvling up u can at least try out 3 different specs on 3 different alts of same class and have completly different lvling experience

I had 8 toons and deleted 5 of them - got too overwhelming. I don't see how you could make 30, unless it was some kind of goal of yours.

and its not surpising - but what if u lvled this shammy with fully rested exp by doin lets say 1 dungeon and 5 quest /day ? and after doin it switched to lets say lv 36 paladin - do 1-2 dungeon get 2-3 lvs and bam switch to lets say resto druid on 68 do same stuff - i guarantee u that in longer perspective such jumping between chars woudl give u exackly those 20+ alts resoult - maybe not soon but in a year or two ? now imagine people play this game for 5+ years - not so shocking they have so many alts -_- its also keeping game fresher even if its only scenery change

people make often mistake of i want this char on 90 and i want it now - and they get him to 90 in 1 week but after that they feel sick of lvling - been there odne that never again

Thats what I have right now. Same server, same faction. Triple box the same classes sometimes. 33 90s. All maxed professions, well, except 3 JC and 1 BS.

That is insane. I've never been big on alts myself. For the 8 years or so that I played (taking a break right now but will be coming back for WoD), my main was my warrior. Wrath was the only expansion where I had more than 3 level-capped characters.

The closest that I know of to 30 was my friend who got one character for each class to level 85 in Cataclysm, then did the same for his wife (played one character of each class to 85 on her account) and also did the same thing for himself Horde side (short of like two classes on the Horde side, I believe). He stopped playing after Cataclysm though.

I'm at 20 with a few more that are 80+. People act like it's a big deal to level toons. There is something called rested xp which makes leveling from 85-90 only take about 5 hours played. I level'd around 15 of my toons just by playing one until it ran out of rested xp and parking it until it maxed out again then switching to another toon and doing the same thing.

It really doesn't take that much time or effort. You can also Oqueu for monkey runs that makes leveling to 90 very fast.

But yeah, having a lot of 90's isn't that impressive to somebody who knows how easy it is :P
