Should i buy a new monitor? Acer X223HQ

    Currently have this monitor:
    http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/Grade_A1...06/version.asp

Got it given as a present many years ago and never thought about upgrading it, any point (appearance/ feel) in buying a better monitor such as
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-XL2420T.../dp/B005XZBMTU or should i just keep using my current one.

    Thxvm

If you feel like you need to or not, or if you want dual monitor, sure.

As for the one you linked, you'd might as well go for the updated version: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-XL2420Z...dp/B00HZF2MPE/

TN panel doesn't really have the best color reproduction, so it's not something ideal for color critical work. So if this is something you'd be interested, don't go for it.

Otherwise another choice is FG2421 if you're up for high refresh rate monitors.

Obviously modern, higher end monitor will beat cheap one any day of the week. What's your price limit? I'd either pick 120 or 144hz panel for fast paced gaming or higher resolution 2560x1440 panel for general use. Though, the latter will be quite expensive, and former requires powerful PC to take advantage of in gaming.

Hi again <3 Still haven't bought a new monitor (keep choosing one then changing my mind then reading reviews then changing my mind again >.<)

I've decided i want a 2560*1440 monitor rather than a higher refresh rate as the games i play are mmos/ rts rather than fps. Can anyone recommend a nice 2560*1440 monitor for me, i can spend up to £500 on it (possibly a bit more).

current computer specs (though planning to upgrade) :

    2500k 4.5ghz
    670gtx
    8gb ripjaw 1600 ram

If you want me to explain the review I can, but in short it's a decent monitor. User mode seeming the better default selection.

Ok, I'll just buy the monitor and if it doesn't come with a cable I'll order one after, thanks very much for all the help <3
