    Why don't worgens have boots?

    (No, 'leg boots' don't count!)

They should have custom made boots for Worgens! Paws can be delicate things, and can get all kinds of things stabbing and poking into them. I mean, if you step on their toes like that then it must hurt!

(Who here has had the sudden desire to step on Worgen toes before?)

Lets look at some of the possible alternatives:

This would be GAME CHANGING! Just imagine the after effects when these are introduced! It'll be more comfortable for Worgens, and a viable tactic to defeat the horde with.

Something to do with shoes not looking right.

That looks silly and mean. Dogs don't need boots. Their feet are designed to take the impact from running and landing from rather high places, they don't feel the cold in the same way and other things.

Worgen would look ridiculous with booties besides not even needing them. Do tauren need boots too because their hooves aren't good enough?

    You are a silly thread maker...silly =P

The dog in the second picture looks like it wants someone to put it out of its misery.

Hooves are mostly unfeeling though, pawsies aren't. :3

This is misinformed actually. Many dogs (especially those with tropical bloodlines) can't handle prolonged exposure to the cold specifically on their paws. Even cold-climate dogs like Huskies or GSD's can only take "so much cold" on their footsies before causing nerve damage (can lead to arthritis in later years, which is a problem with many dogs who live in cold climates). That is why these boots exist (partly).

Another reason for these boots is if you are taking the dog to an area with wood floors. Even clipped nails can result in scratched surfaces, which would not make my in-laws very happy.

That being said, Worgen don't have shoes because they like to balance the "looks" between both the factions. Horde have trolls, which don't wear footgear, so they did the same for worgen - just like Alliance didn't have any outright "monster-type classes" before worgen were introduced, whereas the Horde had blood elves. Also Horde got Goblins, because we didn't have a short race like Gnomes up til that point, whereas alliance had two (gnome/dwarf).

Dogs did not evolve to walk on pavement.

    That is ridiculous.

Races created before pandaren have their boot textures laid over their feet. They would end up with weird boots in the shape of paws.

If they did it right, it would look really badass. Though, where trolls just have weird feet to begin with - Worgen feet serve a functional purpose outside running/walking (such as climbing, jumping, etc). Not to mention a Worgen on all-4's would probably cut off their shin if there was a metal plate in front of it..
