[Holy] - stat priority for challenge modes?

    Hey there

I recently came back to WoW after a longer break and decided to gear my paladin up. I have just been raiding casually with a bunch friends and we decided to gear up for some challenge modes.
The thing is that I don't really know what to build. I've read on different sites that crit/spirit build should be great but other sites say haste is more important.

Any holy paladin with lots of experience in CMs who can help me out?

    Regards

All in all, at this point if your group is half decent you can go with whatever stat priority you want. There's not A stat priority. The only thing that is a must is Klaxxi Amber as it will make your life much easier.

Enough spirit so that you can heal till you can next use amber. I doubt the others matter at all.

If you want pure throughput then crit > others though at those gear levels the secondaries are so small its hardly going to be noticable.

I prioritized haste > every thing else, you want to be able to spam heal (but then again, my tank was a prot warrior for all 9 golds).

Spirit and mana regen isn't important as you'll have klaxxi amber to deal with your regen. (make a macro for it so you can get into the amber and out of it quickly) It's nice to remember that you only need to be out of combat for a split second to get into the klaxxi amber then your group can continue pulling and your regen from the food will continue while you are in combat.

Get gear that has a lot of sockets (463 or better)

Ideally, if your group is good and your dps isn't stupid, you shouldn't have to spend much time healing them barring specific mechanics like, for example, certain bosses in GoTSS or the slimes in Siege of Niu Zao Temple. There are times that shit happens though, and being able to connect with heals quickly is likely what's going to make the difference in many situations.

I did spirit > haste > everything else. Mastery scales down pretty abysmally, you get very tiny shields in cmodes from what I found. Haste provides consistent throughput whereas crit is of course, RNG. Also chose haste because in cmodes the tanks health spikes up and down really fast and you have to get those heals off as quickly as possible.

This was during early ToT, so it could be different now too. I've seen pallies do mastery as well so honestly it's probably just be personal preference and can vary on group make up.

Why you need haste? you are spamming flash of light 24/7, haste is worthless.

    This is horrible advice.

How exactly have you learned that one of the best stats for paladins in CMs isn't the best stat? Mastery shields are minimal, crit is too rng and unreliable, a high amount of spirit isn't necessary because of klaxxi amber. All of that would lead one to conclude that reforging to haste is still likely the best option for anyone gearing a holy paladin for CMs.

In short: the stat priority, as op was asking for, is either haste > spirit > whatever else or spirit > haste > whatever else. Personally, I prefer sticking to haste > spirit as it was recommended to me when i started doing them and it was a very solid recommendation.

Actually I haven't changed my gear which is a full mastery build expect for trinkets (SoO trinkets scale really badly in CM so I got myself some regen trinkets). I easily healed all 9 instances and actually I didn't use any regen drinks or amber as well (I stayed between 50% and full mana all the time).
I have to add though that the tank was more or less wearing full BiS gear for CM. So unless your going to get server best times (which you probably won't as people say you need a disc for this) you'll be fine in any gear, with a minimum amount of spirit though. To add this here: I found that 8k+ spirit is useful in Proving Grounds which scales you down the same way as CM.
