Wouldn't blood and gore shove it to pegi 16 atleast? I know WoW is pegi 12 but... dunno maybe they're doing it for the China release aswell, I remember wotlk being a nightmare for the China release since they had to censor so luch.

Free games still belong is a classification category.

Remember China doesn't have player corpses in game, only tombstones.

Blood but not gore may be a key factor. EDIT2: There is a description on the ESRB for "Blood and Gore - Depictions of blood or the mutilation of body parts " Which usually belongs in M17+ games.

I would say it is more likely that the open gut wouldn't make sense on the card, because you wouldn't be able to make out what was going on due to the bottom half being cut out from the card picture. He would look like he had some strange pointy nipples and a gaping vag sewn in the middle of his chest.

Edit: Didn't realize there was already a card with the whole picture on it. IDK, I would had to go with everyone else and say that they are cleaning the cards up for China. It will probably just be region based card design though, so I don't think that it will affect people elsewhere.

It can, but in this case, it doesn't, it just removes that part from the ESRB rating(providing there isn't anything else in the game that contains blood and gore), it's still going to be rated Teen for the other things that are in the game.

The first thing I thought of when I read this thread and saw the picture, was when people were talking about WoTLK and China.

I don't play it very much, but are there region servers in Hearthstone? Or is it just one big one for everyone? If it's one for everyone, that could be why it's been censored. I know they just launched in China a couple months ago, no clue if they have their own servers, but I would guess that they do, if that's the case, then it's specifically for China.
