Actually its more that the women shown in WoW are usually completely incompetent or are psychopaths. But nice try.

The letter written to Blizzard was quite well constructed and touched upon some very serious and interesting issues. It was thoughtful and rather constructive too in the reasons given as to why he or she didn't agree with some of the design choices that have been made over the past years. The writer certainly is insightful and managed to write something elaborate and constructive enough that it deserved an official reply. Don't be disrespectful, that is the only true sign of idiocy.

Just because the letter was well written does not mean that it had anything meaningful to say. People have been over this again and again: while it may be true that women often get stereotyped in games and comics and whatever other fiction, guess what? So do men. Blizzard in particular has made some of the coolest female characters in gaming, and the most interesting characters in at least two of their universes are female. So why whine? As far as the people of color thing, I really fail to see how that has anything to do with anything. What difference does it make what color skin a developer or game character has? None at all. This diversity quota for the sake of diversity nonsense really needs to go away.

Calling people idiots doesn't make me entitled. You don't know what the word means, apparently. And yes, the sort of people who think Blizzard should care about their desires of putting transgendered characters in the game, or something similar, when that's clearly not what the game or company is about, are idiots. Plain and simple. Idiots. Deal with it.

And seeing as you're downplaying it as "bratty children" I'm going to just go ahead and assume you have no idea what you are talking about. Let's dismiss a chunk of the fanbase because a few people went too far! That makes no sense. Most people have been respectable, yet clearly angry with a nonsensical change. There's nothing wrong with that.

If the responses above are indicative of the player base that has been targeted I can most definitely agree something needs to change. Such immature and idiotic responses. I imagine he responds to quite many communications on a daily basis outside the company. Of course not many of those will ever see the light of day regarding the public.

Perhaps if more people would write constructively critical letters to the company rather than acting like spoiled brats as seen here in this thread, they'd get better communications from the company.

Your seething disgust of people with whom you have disagreements is the very reason there should be diversity in a lore driven game such as WoW. The very fact that someone expressed views you disagree with while receiving a response from Blizzard officially seems to have gotten under your skin. You are not the arbiter of all that is normal and just in this world and with an such an entitled attitude never will be.

I really can't see WoW going anywhere... I say WoW because D3 is lost and SC2 and HS are only for championships.
