Your favorite Rogue Tier sets

What are your favorite tier sets for Rogues and why? Which recolors do you like the most?

back in the day definitely bloodfang but im not casting my vote away for nostalgia; looking at all the tier armors just to set aside my opinion shadow blades was great for the time because of the rp aspect and i'm not giving my vote away for that either. i prefer the custom transmog armor my choice and for me to vote on an armor tier--DRUMROLL! Battlegear of the Thousandfold Blades, this armor brings the essence of the shadows like bloodfang did a while back. as a full tier look without transmog right on target for a thief class. though i would go through this tier set to transmog custom. thanks for thread.

When Cata dropped, I immediately went with a modified T9 (VanCleef) for the chest and legs on my human female. I like that it reminded me of a functional military uniform that a scout would wear (if you drop the shoulders and the helm ... I use an eyepatch and some single-spaulder shoulders). Then Wratheon dressed his female minions in the same outfit ... bitches stole my look.

That chest piece is a little too Victoria's Secret without something underneath on a female.

T3. When I saw it on a Rogue while browsing raiding Rogue armories, I just had to have it. I found out it was unobtainable until the BMAH came out, once it did, I spent nearly to my last copper to grab it because I play on a High Pop realm, was worth it.

I loved T3 and the black smoke from the shoulders, which is also why I love our CM set so much. The runners-up would be T5, T6, T12, and Heroic T14.

T2, T5, and the CM Set. I like T2 and T5 because their lines and contrast. They look simple and sinister. I think I like the CM set just because its fidelity far surpasses anything else in the game. The set design itself is ok, but it's noting special. It's just so high-res and it has some really cool special effects.

I currently use the CM set with the T16 helm. I usually prefer partial headpieces to full-coverage ones. I usually use helms that only cover the mouth or eyes.

Depends a lot on the race. A lot of the sets I consider ugly as hell on humans look awesome on undead/trolls.

That said, I have always found the Sunwell agility leather set (t6.5) to be one of the coolest in the game. Tier 15 was a nice surprise and a great example of how simple sets often work best.

Depends on race - T4 for NE, T6.5(swp) for panda, T8 for gnome/dwarf

T2: Bloodfang - classic set and great design, but ultimately it's just low poly and old compared to the new ones.

T3/T7: Bonescythe - best rogue design by far. I was fortunate enough to collect the boots for T3 back in vanilla, but don't feel like finishing out that set at 10k a pop on the BMAH. The 10man t7 is my preferred recolor but this is overall my favorite design.

T5: Deathmantle - really neat design and I've used it a few times but overall it seems a little more comical than I prefer.

T12: Phoenix - good design, prefer the non-heroic color. I don't personally use this one much, but I do like the offset pieces on my Druid. I'm Forsaken, but i think this fits more nature-based/primal races nice. Night Elves, Trolls and Worgen to be exact.

T13: Blackfang - I actually like this set a lot during its era and rocked it until ToT. Really cool batman/vigilante feel where you conceal your face with the mask but also rock the ears for flavor.

T15: Nine-Tails - this is my favorite set after Bonescythe. I love this design. The gray heroic color in particular is really ghost assassin looking. Makes me feel optimistic we might see a white, Assassins Creed style set in the future.

CM: Silent Assassin - this is what I'm rocking right now. It's my 3rd favorite set, but it gains a little more value to me in that it was difficult to get.

TL;DR:

1. Bonescythe (T7 10m)
2. Nine-Tails (T15 H)
3. Silent Assassin (CM)

T2: Pretty cool set, I have the blue recolor, been wanting to get the red set but I simply don't have the storage to do so (that goes for a lot of these sets)

T3 & T7: Been wanting to get these sets for a while, same problem as T2

T4: Not a big fan of this set, however I really like the green recolor (aka S1)

T6, T8, & T10: The helmets look awful on these sets IMO, but I like the look of everything else

T11: Gets a special mention because this set looks exceptionally awful, I almost feel that Blizzard went out of their way to make it look as terrible as possible on purpose. I did get a good laugh out of this set though, male orcs wearing this set without the helmet look like orc butterflies in the official forum avatar (link, can't find a picture though).

T15: Probably the best looking tier set out of the last 2 expansions, especially the heroic version

CM: It's what I'm wearing now, not my favorite, but I get bored of transmogs over time...just wish it would work properly with the other 2 specs

My favorite set is actually a dungeon set, Assassination Armor. It's the most rogue-like looking set IMO.
