Healing 400k damage over winning games is not possible.
The amount of stupid shit I have to put up with as a healer and I can't even lane clear or merc like most tanks.
Fuck my life.

Li Li all day every day.
Free Drinks, Safety Sprint, The Good Stuff, Jugs, Surging Winds, Pick Me Up, Shake It Off/user's preference.
Take all the damage you can afford to take without dying to have as high an uptime on your trait as possible. No one around? Take a few towers shots. Up against a dot hero like Nazeebo or Gul'dan? Take the hits on purpose. I ended up doing just over 200k healing in a single QM game playing like this. It's risky, but man. The payoff is insane.
Alongside Nerraw's suggestion, have you tried one of the "auto-healers", like Brightwing or Lucio? You'll rack up healing points simply by existing. Like Nerraw said, so long as it's safe to do so, you can even intentionally put yourself in danger so you can heal yourself up for some additional points towards the quest.

It's not the actual healing that's the issue.
It's my team just continually fucking things up and rendering my 100k healing absolutely pointless when we lose and thus does not contribute to the quest.
I have read that self-healing counts, so I may just hop on Leoric and have more impact in games and not be this fucking helpless support hero who can't lane, merc, or do anything but to sit their ass in with the dumb-ball and watch bottom lane sloooooooowly get pushed by a single Siege Giant from Fort, to Keep, to Core before our Naz actually does something.
Healing is going back to being the last thing I want to do because holy shit.

Ah, I totally get that. Now that the Specialist role no longer exists, Healer/Support is probably my least favorite for this very reason: it is beyond frustrating to have to sit and watch helplessly while your team continually makes mistakes, and all you can do is heal them...so they can survive just long enough to go make further mistakes.
That's why I tend to prefer healers that can also do decent damage or at the very least can secure kills on their own, like Kharazim or Stukov. Maybe give one of those two a try, if you haven't already?
Otherwise, Vs AI is always waiting, if you get desperate enough.

Yeah, that quest is pretty crazy. I figured I'd play Lucio since he heals a lot/passively and I'd get a quick completion but I think I just made it worse on myself. That hero is such a piece of garbage, good god.
Self-healing from most heroes does count (not sure if Valla's does, she has no healing stat), so Muradin or Dehaka can get a good amount of progress aswell. Definitely don't try to force a fast completion, you'll just tilt yourself.
I kinda wonder if they made the healing quest 400k because they wanted more people to play healers. Seems pretty disproportionate to have 400k healing but only 300k siege, since 300k siege is very easy in 2-3 wins if you play a waveclear hero, which you can find in almost every role. Getting 400k healing is gonna take atleast 5 wins, unless the games go extraordinarily long.
I realized something fun when playing Chen yesterday. You can use Stagger to almost completely negate (3 sec duration vs 4 sec duration) Butcher's Brand's healing. It's so fun to watch them realize they're powerless against the fat drunken panda.
Perhaps you're just not used to playing him, I main healers and he's my most active, impactful and fun hero, who I also go to when I need just wins or mvp for the quests. Or maybe it's just a case of, each to their own.
I got it done over 3 regular matches with normal play, nothing extraordinary.
It's mostly coming down to playstyle, yeah. When there's a lane to soak, camp that has to be capped, objective,... It drives me crazy that you can literally do nothing about it.
Getting 133k healing average over 3 consecutive wins is very much out of the ordinairy. You often don't even get to 100k and you're overshooting that by 33.33%, 3 times in a row.
I wouldn't know. Outside of the weekly brawls, I tend to play Vs. AI exclusively. I just know that I tend to see lots of "quick AI matches" made around the time of these events, specifically to grind out some of the more annoying quests. Presumably, most players then go back to QM or HL once they've done what they need to.

if I didn't know confirmation bias, i'd say that the game is looking at me playing my highest leveled hero in qm and giving me the dumbest teammates imaginable, going 'these people are beyond our help, can you carry them?' and i'm like 'im abathur what' 'too bad'
and yet when I play mephisto for the first time i get the best experiences in recent memory
