Garrison Level 3 Horde and Alliance Full Preview

Blizzard give us the option on new PvE Server (100 Premade Char) to level up our garrison to level 3 + blueprints for all buildings to level 2. I did the preview for both factions how it looks with all followers and upgrades... To be honest population is quite big for this area. But I do love the Inn and that is something I'm gonna build in mine garrison on live. By the look for me Alliance garrison looks better then Horde

Are we still able to pick different zones for them to be in for different atmosphere?

Nope your Garrison will be locked to Shadowmoon Valley (Alliance) Frostfire Ridge (Horde) sadly

The alliance garrison feels so much better than the horde one. I wish we weren't locked into frostfire ridge. It would have been nice to have at least 1 other zone option per faction.

    Thanks for sharing.

In general, I prefer Horde architecture to Ally, yet I still prefer the Alliance garrison by a huge margin. The aesthetics just come together beautifully, the color palettes of the thick SMV trees mesh perfectly with the colors of the alliance structures. The large wall, the solid/wide buildings, and most of all, the dense foliage, also help to give the garrison a more enclosed feeling, really adding to the ambiance.

By contrast, the Horde garrison just feels....pretty barren. No buildings really pop out at me, at a glance they all look like spiky huts of varying sizes without a lot of bulk to them. I'm also not really a fan of the way the red theme of the buildings goes with Frostfire's purple-ish snow. It's a shame the horde garrison is restricted to frostfire, because to me, this garrison is crying to be constructed in Nagrand.

No, but you can build Garrison outposts in every zone, not as exciting as a full blown garrison in every zone but it's better than nothing I suppose.
    You just lost The Game

Did they replace Saurfang with Warmaster Zog as the Mission Specialist? If so, I'm glad. It felt weird having Saurfang calling a player "Commander".

Looks really awesome to me! Especially love the snowy area the Horde get.

Can we name the NPCs in the garrison or it's fixed already?.

Stupid that we of the Horde go back to wood and stone, when in WotlK and after that we learned to build far stronger buildings out of iron.
No wonder why we are the push overs of Warcraft and always going to lose against the Alliance in the end.

What a load of pre made dog poop, what a total waste of time and space....Give me a new city any day of the week!

Whats really wrong, is the fact you can run around dead zones like these on any live server any time, those on naff servers have played most of game in a empty world like this, FFS players are crying and even paying to be moved away from this sort of crap

Wow. The Horde one looks nice.. I could almost stop thinking I was running through Orgrimmar or some other default orcish settlement. My Blood Elf will feel right at home.

I suppose it might be nice to walk around and see NPC#142 and to think "Hey, it was me to hired you!" or even having decided that the Enchanting Hut is on the right side of the Alchemy Hut and not the other way around - and sadly, do not think that's customization enough for me.

In general, a big Meh from my part.

Didn't even bother to check Alliance's, since I don't play Alliance at all. But at least from the preview pics, I'd say it's looking better than Horde's. At last judging thumbnails Alliance one gives me a soothing, somewhat alien vibe with all the oddly colored trees - where the Horde screams Default Orc Town in the Mountains.

Funny but I love snowy areas and I would trade shadowmoon valley for frostfire ridge anytime I just imagine the alliance Base in a snowy area... hopefully in the future we will be able to move it. But it looks great and I hope there are very interesting and meaningful stuff to do in there.
The trick of selling a FFA-PvP MMO is creating the illusion among gankers that they are respectable fighters while protecting them from respectable fights, as their less skilled half would be massacred and quit instead of “HTFU” as they claim.

OT: Im really happy with it. Blizzard did a great job putting theme of all horde races to it.
Im also really glad that all buildings look solid, and perfectly suited to cold climate.

OT: I was expecting player housing, but yeah, I still thinks it isn't so bad, is it?

Yeah we did, but if I re-call correctly both Thrall and Durotan call you 'commander' multiple times through-out the questing experience lol.

As a side note, can anyone on the beta tell me if not being able to upgrade your garrison this build is a widespread problem? I'm level 99 and it's telling me that I need to be level 93 to upgrade my Garrison, really kind of lost and tired of being level 1 lol.
