    Orc Posture.

Happy day for many of us!

The new orc posture will be optional, so will you use it or stay a peon?

  2. #2
    NO GUARANTEE OR ETA!
    Seriously...

  3. #3
When and if it eventually gets added, will probably go for the straight posture but depends how it looks.

Orcs find a lot of loose change.

Ah! Idea for a comic strip!

Where is the evidence please, I just woke up.
We have so many examples already, and this

But is there new information that's come to light, Dude? Walter?

The postures of each race really defines it from being the stereotypical reskinned human with a few extra antennae or horns that all other franchises such as the Elder Scrolls and Star Trek depict. Going hunch-less really makes you look like a dumb human with green skin and cute little fangs popping out (I'm looking at you, Elder Scrolls).

Would be a nice touch, but overall defeats the defined features of the race.

There's no reason to wonder how it will look, it will look like every freaking orc we see that's not the player model in official game media, every single orc model in a cut scene since MOP came out. It's not like they will stand up like humans.
    Unless I cray-cray.

Not to mention almost every animation the orc has, has them standing up straight like they should be, rather than hunkered over at the solar plexus.
THey just need their idle stance changed, their walk and run animation changed, everything else is gravy and any improvements will rock.

THey now stand up just fine in their idle animation, just HOLD THAT POSE Drek'thar.
    Perfect orc posture.

No it doesn't. Not at all. The orcs in the cinematics don't look like reskinned humans. This is a canard.
And the humans in WOW don't even look like humans, they look like neanderthal beefcake 40k Space Marines, a fantasy race unto themselves.
This is a tired argument ignoring context.

The Tauren need the hunch, the trolls look great. But the orcs look nothing like the orcs people see outside of the player model in all official game art and media in cinematics and cut scenes. Nobody is asking for green humans, they want the posture corrected from the "bend over like I just got kicked in the nuts" posture.

This is all the orc model, NOW IN GAME, in proper posture. Does he look like a green human to you?

The orc hunch you have in game is for warlocks and old shaman only. It evokes a peon that never existed but for in your mind due to the caricature language of the visual cartoon lexicon (/opera music)

Did Garrosh in the 5.3 cinematic look like a human to you and not an orc?

I'm aware of this, I was just posting the evidence, but the fact that Blizzard has acknowledge this finally, and have said that they would like to do it at some point, it's pretty hopeful.

Yes, we now have them saying they want to do it on the wishlisht in November of 2013, and further confirmation they are still considering it with this.
Really I imagine the Warlords are giving them a good excuse to put this on the animation budget, they look silly with the old man warlock hunch. Grom and company should not be sinister Gul'dan wannabes or slack jawed peons IMO.

This is fantastic news for anyone with interest here. Not 100% confirmation? Well, nothing in life is. You're all going to die, orc posture or not.

I like the Orcs hunching over, but they can stand straight if they want. Since, to me, it looks to me like the Orc is more comfortable hunched, I want mine to stay that way.

Wow, I might even play an orc now

  18. #18
leave the hunch! it makes them unique and old school.

  19. #19
I might actually want to play an orc if it didn't have that ugly peon hunch.

It never should've existed in the first place. Orcs didn't have that shit in any game before WOW except the old gnarly ass warlock dude and he was only hunched over because he was old as shit, not as a racial feature. Some humans get hunches when they are old as shit too. It is not a feature of being an orc, people who try to act like it is are insane.
I like ponies and I really don't care what you have to say about that.

I'll wait and see how it looks of course (when and if it happens) but I'm used to my Orc's current posture. Probably stick with it.

    P.S. Peons don't hunch, that's a myth.
