Question about soaking malice 4 on Heroic Garrosh

I am supposed to help soak malice 4. What do I do if the malice is on me? Do I just stand still until it ends Do I still need to use an immunity if the malice is on me? I'm assuming yes since there will be cannon fire going out. Also if the malice is not on me how far apart do I need to be from the other soakers?

If the Malice is on you, you will be acting as a normal raider with Malice, not a soaker. You won't take Malice damage, just the Bombardment (if you stand in fire).

Different strats have slightly different methods to handle Malice 4 though, so what you will do will likely to be slightly different depends on your strat. If you are letting Malice #4 and the group stand still, then stand still, pop your CD to make it easier for healers. If your raid is making Malice #4 group moving towards the boss, then do that, you probably won't need to pop any CD as you shouldn't take any big damage.

If Malice isn't on you, the question is - how many soakers are you guys using? If you are only using 5 immunity users - you don't need to care about your distance, you can even stack up if you want - although there will be fire from bombardment, so don't be that close to each other. If you are using more than 5 for some reasons, make a rough formation before hand, Iron Star will trigger if 7 or more people are within 8y of each others. Although, with the gear now (and even before), spawning 1 or 2 Iron Stars won't wipe you if you are prepared for it. Just kite them until Garrosh is dead (or let them hit Garrosh if your DPS is too slow and he casts another Rage, unlikely with the gear & DPS now).

if you're the guy with Malice, you'll need another soaker or 2 depending on how you want to deal with it

is this 10 or 25? in our 10m raid, how we do it is have me, the Hunter as primary soaker with Deterrence, but if i get Malice, i have the shadow Priest backup with Dispersion and soak with me instead. the ideal # is having 2 to soak it (the downside to only having 1 soaker is the boss gains energy and the raid takes some damage), but the boss is pretty much dead at that point for us most the time so we just have 1. if i recall correctly, immunities like block/bubble don't work
