Personally I am happy with this achievement, and glad the emerald drake is being added to the game. I don't think you will see many emerald drakes around, as it contains 4 very rare raid drop mounts, I am three away from it, Malygos doesn't drop drakes for me, and now I regret passing on the two blazing drakes I saw drop in cata, as I had the HC version.

Looking forward to getting this at some point!

It is interesting to see this achievement and mount going live and it'll be cool to get your hands on Emerald Drake at last. But I think they should remove the Sandstone Drake as a part of the criteria as it would be forcing a 25-40k+ gold dump (depending on how you intend to get the mount) to get anywhere close to completing it. Also at a stretch probably leave out both the Blazing Drake and Onyxian Drake as all the flights would still be represented and those are technically special Drakes as opposed to normal ones.

Keeping the Sandstone Drake is good cuz the bulk of the cost from that is vendor mats and more gold sinks in game = better.

And as far as removing the 2 you suggested(i believe u meant one of the Mally drakes not Ony drake) or any for that matter wouldn't be fair: ie someone got 1 but not the one left on the requirement. IF they do change anything prob add something like "Collect X of Z of the Drakes Listed Below" kind of deal. But this does reward those of us who worked our butts off collecting these and I personally would like to see it stay as is or add more to the requirement like the rest of the stone drakes

Really, really, really want to see this live! Finally a mount collectors' feat of strength
I only need Blazing and Onyxian to get it :P I'm currently farming Onyxia with 3 alts, gonna make that 5 in Warlords and probably gonna extend my Dragon Soul farming aswell :P It would make all that much more rewarding to get a FoS and the Emerald Drake
I hope they don't change anything about it and implement it on Live

I had this idea for feat of strength since Cataclysm, about collecting all four drakes "of wind", and getting the "of the four winds" title for them Would have been really awesome, and very rare because of the Al'akir drake. Maybe they'll put those 4 in that achievement and make it even more difficult to obtain.

Looks like spine will be more solo friendly come Wod, so Blazing Drake should be quite a bit easier. It's the only one I'm missing right now (taking a break from mount collecting due to a large combination of RL things going on) and will be on active farm come wod. Kinda curious how long it'll take me to get my 14 90s to 100.

Got 250 mounts, and yet missing one of those drakes, the blazing. o.O. Only saw it drop once in Cata, and the person that won it quit just a short while after. -_-

Gonna be soloing the instance across 4-5 hunters (undecided on leveling a 5th) and all the other classes possible, and I have 2-3 toons of each class depending on how much I enjoy it.

I think indeed that the Emerald drake will be a fairly rare mount due to all the RNG aspects.

It's an achievement, so not having it will mock me because I still need the Blazing Drake. Unless DW is easily soloable next expansion, I don't see myself getting it...

It's a hell of a lot more difficult than sitting in SMV for a couple of days grabbing eggs. If you can't afford 40k for a mount you're probably not a collector to begin with.

But hey whatever. I'll have it day one either way so I guess it really doesn't bother me that much.
