From what I understand he pulled his game out of Steam because he doesn't like the Steam gaming community.



Not exactly the smartest career move but anyway.
GG jumped too early on this imo, if he kept his game on Steam while actually withholding keys for GGers who bought it (with his own lol-worthy "Twitter screening process"), we would have a very valid legal course of action.

As a call center agent (I think this is the guy that was a call center agent at one point), he should know this type of destructive culture is not limited to just gaming. But yeah, more or less it looked like a shitty game anyways.

Man, what? I feel like I've been living under a rock. THIS is what people are referring to when they say culture war? Why is it "the" culture war? It's just one type of culture war. There's more to human culture than mindless partisan politics, but I guess there isn't if you live in the world these people live in. However, I do agree it's a culture war, one of countless many. To me, it's between a culture of idiocy and hypocrisy and one of integrity and justice.

Well, this could sum up my reaction to this entire thing. I guess it's some kind of success for the people involved, but best day on the Internet? Some kind of huge achievement? Dramatic much?

I do wonder if "average gamer" that isn't really following GG even knows what's happening. I didn't give a damn for 2 months, just reading a bit when this very thread has started and shrugging my arms, but recently saw an article somewhere else and decided to check things out. And... I don't feel it? Well, I guess I learned what "SJW" and "doxxing" is - which is really a knowledge I could live without. I saw some crazy freaks and people trying to benefit from the situation - on both sides. Didn't see much changes in reviews - but then again, I was always skeptical about those and preferred to check multiple sources. Didn't really feel persecuted as a gamer either - and certainly not dead... but social media aren't really my thing, so I don't care what crap someone posts on twitter. I mean, what, they're going to stop making games for "evil gamers" and starve themselves? Pff, right.

I do agree with the ideas about transparency and such, but the entire thing just rubs me in a wrong way. I suppose I agree with TB/Blizzard approach and am content being one of them neutral guys.

GamerGhazi is "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" levels of dumb. If nothing else, just go and read their reddit rules. I honestly thought I was looking at a parody when I first read them.
