If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."
It looks ridiculously shitty, its an insult to be even compare it to CDi games. Nothing of value was lost today.(if it does destroy his career)

GG also makes mistakes, it can't be helped.

Holy shit, that guy is going ballistic at GG. Nothing like some early morning entertainment. I have seen a lot of people who are extremely angry at GG, but this guy takes the cake.

Have some words of wisdom/morale boost from some anon:

Man, what? I feel like I've been living under a rock. THIS is what people are referring to when they say culture war? Why is it "the" culture war? It's just one type of culture war. There's more to human culture than mindless partisan politics, but I guess there isn't if you live in the world these people live in. However, I do agree it's a culture war, one of countless many. To me, it's between a culture of idiocy and hypocrisy and one of integrity and justice. It is the culture war, as Kyle Wagner wrote for Deadspin in October, and the culture war—the ongoing battle between conservatives and liberals over abortion, gay rights, guns, et al.—will never end, because neither side will ever concede defeat.
Well, that is ONE thing I can agree with her about. It sure is a larger problem.“Gamergate’s going to be gone eventually,” Harper told Newsweek, “but it’s not just about Gamergate. It’s a larger cultural problem.”
Anyway, I have to give Newsweek credit for saying how the blocklist does stupid things, but they still seem... to support it and her? I don't get it. This seems like a new level of cognitive dissonance.

I cackled when I saw this: http://nichegamer.net/2014/12/divini...d-art-returns/
I think I just might buy the game even though it's only 33% off.
Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35
Did you guys already saw that?

Well, the TLR is on the link...
My opinion, could have been a nice "news" without the gg assumption on it.
Bit of an update (sorta) on the FTC thing. The wording
is a bit too proud for my tastes, but this is certainly a
good start.

Just wish the disclosures were at the top and bolded...
EDIT: Some of the comments are worth reading for a
chuckle too.
Well, this could sum up my reaction to this entire thing. I guess it's some kind of success for the people involved, but best day on the Internet? Some kind of huge achievement? Dramatic much?
I do wonder if "average gamer" that isn't really following GG even knows what's happening. I didn't give a damn for 2 months, just reading a bit when this very thread has started and shrugging my arms, but recently saw an article somewhere else and decided to check things out. And... I don't feel it? Well, I guess I learned what "SJW" and "doxxing" is - which is really a knowledge I could live without. I saw some crazy freaks and people trying to benefit from the situation - on both sides. Didn't see much changes in reviews - but then again, I was always skeptical about those and preferred to check multiple sources. Didn't really feel persecuted as a gamer either - and certainly not dead... but social media aren't really my thing, so I don't care what crap someone posts on twitter. I mean, what, they're going to stop making games for "evil gamers" and starve themselves? Pff, right.
I do agree with the ideas about transparency and such, but the entire thing just rubs me in a wrong way. I suppose I agree with TB/Blizzard approach and am content being one of them neutral guys.
Of course, this being gamers we're talking about it might just be tongue-in-cheek and Poe's Law is in full effect. :P
Seriously, though... the tone annoys me as well. KiA seems to go from nonchalant sarcasm to triumphant vainglory in a heartbeat. It's hard to keep things straight there.
Nothing ever bothers Juular.
Given the amount of shit that gets flung at them, I can't be too upset when they yell about their successes really loudly.
Well to be honest if you want to understand KiA you also have to see what GamerGhazi is posting in their subreddit.
Whenever GG scores they jump through evry hoop to try to point that GG had nothing to do with it and all the sites
(and FTC) adoptes these new practises completely on their own.
Thus KiA rubs this stuff to their faces as hard as they can.
I don't get the point of that, though. Who gives a shit what GamerGhazi does (only heard of that reddit, never bothered to go and don't much care to)? Like, seriously. I can only assume it's as stupid as 90% of the shit I've seen in my few brief visits to KiA, given that KiA seems to think it a good/fun thing to mirror their behavior.
Honestly, so much of what goes on on both sides is so bloody childish -_-
More like exponentially more stupid, from what I've seen. KiA can be pretty silly, although much of the tone is intended as a joke and you'd be making a mistake to assume it was all serious. You do get proper discussions, like this one: http://www.reddit.com/r/KotakuInActi...ipant_and_now/Like, seriously. I can only assume it's as stupid as 90% of the shit I've seen in my few brief visits to KiA, given that KiA seems to think it a good/fun thing to mirror their behavior.
GamerGhazi is "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" levels of dumb. If nothing else, just go and read their reddit rules. I honestly thought I was looking at a parody when I first read them.
