Fel Hawk 250 mounts achieve - Alot easier to achieve than previously thought?

Yes just like profession mounts. The mount journal acts exactly like the pet journal.

Like i said previously, i'm sitting on 178 mounts, but i haven't been trying to to 200, much less 250. So if i log in on PTR/Patch day and all of a sudden jump to the 250 achiev *Bling*, it would be TOTALLY unfair to those that have been farming their ass off for this.

having said that...IF they really intend to implement this system, they WILL need to add a 350/400 or something achiev for those mount hunters.

Its not only those 35mounts. There are alot of mounts which have a Horde Version and vice versa. For examples:
Black War Mammoth
Traveler Mammoth
Black War Bear
Armored Brown Bear

and so on. I gained 62 new mounts @ Beta, granting me 332 Mounts up from 272.

I know it is not only those mounts, but counting only the faction mounts you get 35 mounts, which makes this achievement incredibly easy for those who are collecting mounts for a couple of years.

You guys have to keep in mind that in PTR (probably) and in Beta you get tons of mounts that you might not have in the Live, such as Elegon Mount, Invencible, Mimiron's and others.

Let's hope it is a bug or working as intended in the PTR so I can keep farming mounts with an objective...

Why do people fail at understanding that PTR & beta are TESTING, so things often are different for x reason.

This a million times. I've lost count of the amount of people that go "HOLY JESUS! DAMN MAN!" when i tell them i have 178 mounts...and i am FAAAAARRR from being a big mount collector.

Lot's of people have 50ish...60ish...mounts. But once again, this achievement is aimed to the big collectors. It's a long term goal, something to be "hard" or at least challenging to complete.

For those with 50ish, 60ish mounts, yeah...this achiev isn't for them.

All in all...i don't really mind tbh. They could very well merge the faction mounts list, BUT they could also add an achiev for 300 or 325 or something, so that those that live for this type of challenge can have something to aim for, instead of *installing 6.0 patch...Bling receive achiev*

Both factions should count.

It's the same as with the pets I think. Personally I have 584. The biggest collecting achievement in the game right now though is 400. On the one hand, I guess I could laugh at the people that only have 400 (Lightweights! ), but seriously ... that's still a lot and it's no less of achievement.

I highly doubt it will go live, but if it does, I wouldn't mind dropping $60 for a faction switch if it means a 35+ mount bump.

I kinda want this to be true because it'll give me the feldrake...but at the same time it turns the achievement into such a joke for double faction players...

Feldrake should be available to any Horde or Alliance character you have on that account.

But yes, it's been around since the beta counting cross-faction mounts though there were other issues to be found, such as my sudden loss of 10 mounts for no reason that I could determine after creating a character then logging off.

You do realize that at least the mount collection achievements were never meant for "most players" right? If most players were meant to do this thing then we'd just now be hitting 150 including cross faction, the achievements outside of the very first one were meant for people who actually give a shit about collecting when each new achievement is new on live.

Since I transferred my characters to horde after they made some changes to what carries over when you transfer, I get over 50 more than the 223 I currently have. 35 racial mounts, 12 or so argent tourney mounts, and then a handful of about 10 or so mounts that are named the same yet have different ids between factions.

I have about 210 mounts on live and to be honest if this was MOP achievement it would be fairly difficult to attain. I have almost all TCG mounts and all you can buy with gold. I lack some rare drops and whole bunch of Argent Tournament mounts - just can't be arsed to farm those anytime soon!

We need hard achievement for mount collecting If this is going to be truly account wide (not faction wide), it needs to be at least 300. Heck, 350 wouldn't hurt.

So is it only faction mounts that are added to the total count, or profession/class mounts too? (2 lock,2dk,5 pala, 2 engi, 2 tailor =13 extra mounts if its true?) Also whats up with bears counting twice? Aren't they same for both factions? I know mammoths have slightly different colours and vendors, but bears?

Anyway I think it's a good change and hope it's not a buh, will help to settle mount/faction mess once and for all. I just think they should take it in consideration when it comes to mount hoarding achievement and add another one for 300.
