Nightmare Tide NDA dropped (mostly)

I dunno what I am going to do with Slipmat, he's been asleep at the wheel lately.

The NDA is now gone for all 3.0 content except for the zone of Draumheim. There are reasons for that, but in the meantime keep an eye out for streams (including yours truly) and video content if you are curious about Nightmare Tide and what it has to offer.

Never fear I'll be doing some livestreaming tonight after Trion's official stream ends. Also check out the video from last night, I did a tour of Goboro and Tarken, talked about minions and masteries and showed off Nightmare Rifts and killed Crucia solo (not kidding).

Looks pretty good. Happy they went back to doing Ice/Frozen zones. My current AFK spot in Storm Legion has been in Ashora next to one of those recharge crystals. Would be nice to have that in a ice zone.

AA is designed for sandbox players. Only thing that could challenge it in NA is Black Desert and that is not being released anytime soon. Anyways looking forward to 3.0. Hoping it is more story focused so that I do not end up at end game fishing watching chat as people spam required hit and achievement to do a raid.

EQ Landmark will likely be out sometime within the next 6 months or so. It's already in closed beta.

It's a bit of a different type of sandbox compared to ArcheAge so there's not quite so much overlap, but yeah. As for it being in closed beta, it's still a very long ways off, having just received the most rudimentary form of combat a few weeks back. It's absolutely possible the game won't see an open beta for the next 6 months, and launch could be well beyond that.

Man.. I forgot this game looked that good. If it wasn't for the WoW + SWTOR expansions coming in the next 2-3 months I'd totally start playing this again. Hell... I still might.

I've been playing Landmark since pretty much the beginning, you obviously haven't if you think its gonna happen anytime soon. There is still massive chunks of the game that aren't in yet. I mean just look at their blueprint, that should give you a clear idea at the speed with which you can expect things to move.

Open beta in 6 months? Sounds about right. But launch? No, if I had to guess I'd say like 9 months. at least before its fully ready for launch. Maybe closer to a year.

I believe I read that there will not be a character wipe between Open Beta and Launch. Therefore, open Beta basically is launch. There are several online games that do this. Not usually AAA titles but some of the smaller ones, usually flash based facebook type of games though. They can be in "open beta" for years, but there is never going to be a wipe, so many consider it the same as launch. It's still called Beta so they can give that cop out excuse when things don't work right. Granted, I agree it's not a cop out excuse if there is a real launch afterwards, but with no wipes before launch and indefinite Open Beta time, it is.

Another massive 2.36GB Update hit the PTS last night, as i try to wade through and see if anything new was added, you can enjoy new loading screen and your char select screen.
